The Official Huck It Chuck It Football 2023-2024 Thread

I don't know that I've ever seen a team start at their 25 with thirteen seconds left and kick a field goal. Mahomes is f***ing magic and Allen was pretty damn good but he called the flip wrong and sometimes even if that's your only mistake it's enough to doom you.

I would love it the NFL changed the overtime rules to match the college game but in the end if the Bills had played any defense in the last 13 seconds of regulation and any in overtime, it would have been a moot point.

He wasn't and the commentary agreed.
Nah Romo was pretty clear it was a catch.

Skip to 2:46. Was initially skeptical but after replay he agreed it was a catch. Ball game Chiefs win.

Respect to Mahomes leaving the celebration to find and hug and give respect to Josh Allen. Cant wait to see them go at it the next Several years.

Alright well I am alive. Titans game was miserable and I really hated the way things went down, but we lost fair and square and that's all there is to it. Congrats to hrudey for the victory.

The game last night was almost enough to cure me of my depression, it was fantastic. TeKPhaN it was clearly a catch and the replays confirmed it lol. Josh Allen played a perfect game, but lost due to NFL's dumbass arbitrary OT rules. These need to change, and it needs to be either a full quarter or college rules.

As a Cowboys fan that gif perfectly sums up my feelings. What's it like to have elite Qb play? And top tier coaching?

Pissing away wins with poor coaching really wastes having an elite QB. To take a QB performance like that and just waste it feels worse.

OT should be simple. Flip coin. If team scores, other team gets to receive and gets a chance to match or best. If they match (TD/EP, field goal, etc.), do it all over again. If they fail to match, game over. If they best, i.e., go for two after a TD, they win.

I understand the debate that defense is just important as the offense, but nobody can say that JA not given the ability to throw, felt ugly. If anything this game had all the back and forth and everyone was eating it up. I think this was the perfect game to shine a light to maybe review the OT rules again. For it to grind to a halt like that felt so anti-climatic. Of course KC was probably going to score. Probably the same for the Bills. I don't know. Maybe that's the case for the defense debate. I think having them work time management into the OT like in regular time would work best.

First team to a nine point lead wins, or if either team leads at the end of a quarter. (This would have to be postseason only, maybe just let regular season games end in ties). (each quarter is played with 4th quarter timing rules, each team gets two 30 second timeouts per quarter)

Ending on a field goal was bad with the old rules was bad. Ending on a TD is fine. Play some defense.

This is ridiculous lol. Full quarter or college rules, it's really not hard.

Instead of the 35 or whatever it is in college now, make it the 50.
