The Official Huck It Chuck It Football 2023-2024 Thread

Imagine getting a penalty on your record, and you weren't even suited up for the game. He was excited, and they get penalized. Geez.

On the other side, though, how is it that the WR that's "off" the line of scrimmage is actually further ahead than all of the OLine other than the center? It looks like a damn flag football formation.

Also, apparently this was the fourth and 1 on the Bengals opening drive, not the game ending fourth down.

Still better than losing a game because you make a big third down stop and then throw the players cleat down the field for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

I'll be 86 the next time the Bengals go to the SB.

It was a hold. They didn't call defensive holding or PI all the way up to those last few plays, though, but since the Rams got hosed when Higgins(?) facemasked Jalen on that long TD to start the second half I don't really think the Bengals have much to complain about. My slightly bigger complaint (and it's not much of one, since I think they did a good job overall) is that I don't for a second believe that if that play had happened on a second down in the second quarter that there would have been a flag thrown. Call it the same way all game - if you miss something because you don't see it, or call something wrong because it looked like you saw it, that's one thing.
They also made multiple bad calls at the end of that possession.

I also don't really buy into the thinking that if they missed other calls that it evens out.

I didn't really see any calls late that were bad if they had called defensive holding / PI that way all game, though. It's not like one of those where a WR goes, grabs the DB, and then the DB gets called for DPI. I think what they did wrong was change what their standards were late, and that's what my problem was.

And evening out is more a "Hey, Bengals, you can't claim the refs were trying to get the Rams to win or cost you the game" point. I was rooting for the Bengals, though I'm still a fan of Jalen and Aaron Donald is like a better version of Ndamakong Suh who is about the complete opposite in personality.

Good old Cam making sure his inability to play is not the only reasons teams don't want him

And WTF is he wearing.

He was banged up.
This is true, and his injury history showed the Titans that they (rightfully so) should be concerned about it and not pay him the money he was asking for to be out of action as much as he was.

That being said, as a massive fan I can recognize that he was the best WR we've ever had and selfishly wanted him to be a Titan on a team friendly deal with big time incentives put in for a full season, TD's, etc lol. Titans offered him 16 per year with incentives up to 20, but he wouldn't take it. He wanted 25 and got it from the Eagles.

I wish him success and more importantly, I wish Treylon Burks success on our team. Hopefully this is one of those deals where it works out for both teams.
