An old friend of mine who I went to high school and college with ended up moving to Beirut after college (she's half Lebanese, think she had citizenship her whole life) and she is thankfully okay. She posted a video similar to the others out there, but she was at her apt like two blocks away. Updated her facebook status saying she had to get surgery and that her apt is completely destroyed.
Video was terrifying, you could hear all the glass breaking and just pure destruction.
Also her dog is missing now, it ran away during the blast. I really hope they can find him

Glad shes ok. 2 blocks is really close, a lot of buildings seem to been leveled close to the epicenter.
Its scary to think that explosives like that are stockpiled in population centers.
Forgot to post this yesterday, so dated info but gives some more insight on their current situation(s)
God that's so sad. I honestly don't know if my old friend is going to stay there or if she'll be able to come back to the states and recharge. Wonder if there's a travel restriction??
