I'd say male, but I'm afraid to assume things related to gender.
People are going nuts here in Buffalo, when the chances of it being nice in early April are extremely low. We don't even see the sun around here until May.
Humans are so dumb. Unless money is falling from the sky I would never travel anywhere for something so pointless like the sun or moon stuff.
We're not even in the totality area and they're warning people to stock up on food and fill up your gas tanks thanks to these morons flocking into this region. Places around here don't even have proper grocery stores and often times have less than 2 gas stations...the kind where there might be 6 gas pumps if you're lucky. On top of expecting for cell service to drop.
I think the Eclipse is neat and I happen to live close to Totality in Indiana.
My brother is driving here just to see it though I think he's nuts. Wonder how the weather forcast will shake out.
I decided to take that day off for a visit, but also I unfortunately drive for a living, and I don't know if there will be insane traffic issues from it.
Otherwise, on the topic I'm curious about the viewer glasses I've seen for sale. They seem oddly flimsy and not very robust for staring at the sun. I thought you had to have something thick like a welding shield.

Apparently Niagara Falls will see the greatest number of visitors ever that day just so they can burn out their retinas.
I really hope people aren't dumb.

They are already shutting things down in preparation for tons of people flooding in. We'll see if it happens. I'm working from home just in case the idiots gridlock the whole region. The eclipse is happening late afternoon and I'm sure the evening rush hour drive will be a hoot (on a normal day it takes 30+ minutes to drive 8.5 miles).
I honestly don't get the hype. I remember seeing the one in 2017 (granted I wasn't in the total area). You put on thick glasses and see a bright circle and a dark circle. Honestly you'll get a better view from someone with a proper camera to record it.

I was in the 99% totality and this is what it looked like behind my house during the legendary event. For several months these idiots on the local news would not shut up about this nonsense. It was darker here in 2017 when we were only in the 60% range. Now the morons won't shut up about the once in 220+ years cicada emergence.
This is a more serious topic. Some of you may know I am writing a teen Fantasy novel.
One of the thing I dislike, but feel oblicated to do, is to change creativity direction due to worry sensitivity & mistaken for pushing some political message or agenda. Making friction is like walking on eggshells these days due to how sensitive people are these days.
I originally wrote a scene where a group of Goblins were found near an old mine. Our heroes was task to investigate. After the goblins were dispatched (aka killed), our heroes dicovered they were digging tunnel to attack a city from below. I didn't think nuch until a while later that this can be mistakenly interpreted as a certain recent event.
So I will have to returned and change the plot to they were just mining iron ore to make weaponary/armors....
This is one example of changing plot to not get unneeded negative reaction. 10 years ago, most people would in good faith assume it was purely coincidence...
