Traveling to Saratoga Springs to visit my brother and his family. You ever been Plainview?

LOL what's wrong with that town? My brother moved up there for work, he said it's pretty nice and has a great lake.
Only time I've been past Newburgh is when I went to Niagara Falls when I was like nine years old. Reminds me of a northern version of St. Augustine, FL. It's nice, but it's five hours away from NYC. Me driving a half hour feels like I want to kill myself. If you're more into a slower pace of life, and don't care about being around anything that's a big city, it'll fit the bill.

I've probably posted this in the auto thread but I love manual cars. Learned on one when getting my license but my first car was a hand me down automatic. When I bought my current car though I went with a manual. It's 13 years old at this point so time to start looking for a new one. Problem is there are very few options out there. I like having a hatchback because I can leave my bike or skis in the back all season, but at least in this case options for kayaks are slim. I've contemplated sticking with a manual or making the change to a small CUV or something.

I HATE driving a manual unless it has power under the hood to throw my head back while driving. My truck has a whopping 120hp and it's annoying as hell driving it around the hills in this area.

My dad tried to teach me stick and he just ramped up my anxiety to the point where I didn't want to drive anymore and, I think, just became afraid of driving at all. I didn't genuinely enjoy driving until last year.

Funny thing is, we often heard from America, many women can't drive sticks!

Meanwhile, almost everyone can drive stick in Europe, include (shocking) women. Its a mentality in my opinion.

When you are conditioned to think it's okay not be be able to drive stick, its okay to be fat, it okay you fail etc. Then people will well unable to do things.

First car I ever had was a manual. It was a Ford Probe. If I had lived in California, it would have been on the MTV show Pimp My Ride because it was a real piece of s**t.

Fk MS!

latest update broke my PC. Spend half a day still can’t fix the issue. Massive slowdown and nothing works. Nothing. How long have they been doing this windows thing. Oh, before most fortnite players were born.

i am so mad.

Anyway, a good news regarding my PC.
l managed to resolve the issue I had about slow down and freeze due to an window 10 Auto-update, using a scientific problem-solving Methodology.

by that I meant restart windows a few times ,like 5x , and eventually the issue is resolved. Remember kids, science is the key to problem-solving.

Windows Update keeps ruining all of my computers as well. My 3 year old laptop is slower than my desktop with 2008 hardware and slower than both of my Windows 8/10 tablets with Atom processors after some recent update.

Bill Gates should be in prison along with that Mattrick guy.

Just unplug it and plug it back in again.

One a serious note. One of the random video autorun on my youtube was a draw along (or whatever it is called) with comic legend Jim Lee. The Superheroes/heroines he drew always goo looking with the well-defined figure, a bit like me, in my dream.

Anyway. Suddenly a realization come to mind. Superheros are NOT meant to look like us, (by us I meant you, Mr average because I look amazing 😁 ), they are meant to represent what we can be, at our best physical form! With all the inclusivity, representation, diversity focus, we are missing the point often. Sometimes, we need people better than us, that we can look to, so we can be inspired.

There some exceptions such as comics written for satire, but in a broad sense superheroes have assumed the role of modern Mythology. Some of them are literally Gods. Some though are nearly regular people like Hawkeye.

I think there can be a role for 'regular' people with or without superpowers in comics, but it really depends on how it's done.

I've driven over 1000 miles in one day in a standard cab s10 Xtreme with a manual and it wasn't much fun.
