Do ordinary people buy the moonshine? Have you bought it? Pricing must be much lower than ordinary liqueur.
Never tried it but it's definitely a acquired taste and I'm sure ordinary people probably do buy it. Not sure how much it costs but I would assume it would be lower than ordinary liquor because shiners don't have to deal with advertising, taxing, and store costs. I think shiners try to sell it by the gallon so that way they can get rid of it quicker and reduce the chances of getting caught with any.

In most countries auto racing came about as a sport, in our country it was a bunch of hillbillies in fast cars trying to outrun the cops. Eventually they realized they could make more money driving the cars around.

I don't know if it is a big industry anymore though, I'm guessing more locals just making their own supply kind of thing.

All I do know though if someone hands you a liquid in a glass fruit jar and says, "just try it!"... don't. :surprise:

Do the guys on such shows as "swamp people" , "Moonshiners"etc really exist? And if so, do anyone here personally know one of these beings?
I've always wanted to spend a week or so with them and drink moonshine and hunt gators.

I live near people who occasionally make their own moonshine.

Todays, schools are closed due to snow & bad weather.
These lazy teachers, always find excuses to skip schools.

An ex of mine's father was from one of the counties where they filmed Moonshiner's and he said he even knew the family they were showing. They definitely exist, and said ex's father actually made Moonshine for me once. You can only drink it by the spoonful at the max because that s*** will actually kill you if you drink it like you would vodka, etc. Puts hair on your chest for sure.

They do make and sell "moonshine" in the liquor stores around here, though it's watered down tremendously and in all reality tastes nothing like the real thing.

It's not too hard to get around here. While I've never sought it out, my friends have had some made for them a few times. Some of it is strong, some of it isn't much stronger than regular liquor. My friend gave me some apple flavored moonshine that he got somewhere, and I must say it was quite good.

It took me a couple of her movies before I realized who she was.

My dad’s uncle made his own moonshine I remember him using cinnamon as flavor and it was pretty good. Did not take you much to get lit. He also made his own wine.

Don’t you hate when you run to the grocery store for one item, but when you get to the aisles, some jack ass is right in the exact spot where your item is and is looking at said item as if were a major life changing purchase?

I bought a haircutter or whatever that is called, as the hairdressers are closed and no date to open anytime soon.
