upgrading my samsung sound bar and sub from like 5 years ago to the sonos arc ultra and sub 4.
I bought the Bose Smart Ultimate Soundbar. Never been happier.
Are you lads using this in say the living room, game room or bedroom?

I’m on the fence of getting one for my room, or getting a good 2.1 or reasonable 5.1 setup

I live alone. My living room/game room are the same. I believe my living room is like 15x13, not very big.

I do plan to get a pair of era 300s from Sonos at some point next year for Freyr surround sound.

Don’t know at the moment. The room is 15x12, maybe 16 lol just want something simple and fun. But I feel like I should finish buying pieces for my pc build 😆
For a room that size...

It retails for $1800 but can be purchased under $1000 on sale.
Being it has eARC and two HDMI 2.1 ports capable of 4K@120Hz and VRR you can also hook your PC up to it when you get it.

Hands down best for that room size and it's price is great.

I was actually thinking of a Sammy sound bar, haven’t kept up to date with them, thanks. Honestly I wanted to ask bout it too.

If I wanted to hook up a pc to it, would I need a sound card?

As for TV, I’m definitely waiting on that new Sony one you mention, since it’ll have all four ports as 2.1. But just a heads up I’m keeping my mind open to whatever lg is doing as well, since I do want to use it as both a TV and cheaper alternative to a reference monitor, in my room. But kinda leaning toward Sony, just a bit more 😆

I wonder if my ceiling fan will obscure the upward firing speaker sound, for atmos

Audio is built into the GPU and most motherboards so you don't need a separate soundcard.

Ceiling fans or not you would at the least still get a good sound bubble in a room of that size with the Q990D.
