That reminds me of those Russian seaplanes or jets that were on my dads old popular science magazines....but that’s some serious temptation there, but I’m running out of room Val, I’ll stick to the JBL :)
Space wise the polk doesn't fit in my center but maybe on top....
For the price I doubt you get a better sound from that many speakers ;)

I also have a klipsch 12" sub
I went with in walls for the cleaner look since its also my main living area. The wall cavities are tuned with acoustic foam and insulation. It really sounds fantastic. You see absolutely no wires and no components with my setup. All components are in the closet behind the tv.
If I had a dedicated theater room I would opt for some good floor standing speakers for the f/l/center.

Anyone looking to upgrade their home audio experience should give these a serious look...exceptional speakers that are rarely discounted.

Man, you're getting into a world you maybe didn't want to get into when you go search for the ultimate in sound.

Then you need that to be surround sound, crap! Now I need 2 subs and some presence speakers?

I've gone back to 2.0 with some nice bookshelves, and I've got like 5 pairs of headphones for different things I want to hear, or my mood.

It's such a personal thing and also we all listen to different things and have different hearing.

Why do you need 2 subs for? I couldn't imagine adding another sub I already only have it halfway and it shakes the house.

Love my surround set up, 9 speakers and 2 subs. Enjoy watching movies in my home theater more than going to the movie theater.

I was making a joke about the rabbit-hole that is getting into hi-fi audio.

If you have a nice set of floorstanding speakers you honestly don't even need a sub, those alone will shake the pictures off your wall.

But if you really get into it, like start reading forums like we do here, you'll soon find out that you need to have dual subwoofers or else your system sucks.

Like I say just joking around a bit.

Any decent soundbars these days? I have a 5.1 system but live in an apartment so don't really get to use it as it should. I'm also moving into a new place where rear speakers might not really fit with the layout, so was thinking about a soundbar or just using the front three speakers alone. I do have a receiver that is Atmos capable, and looks like there are Soundbars that are as well but super expensive. I honestly don't watch much TV or movies anymore and for gaming for anything that needs immersion I just used a headset.
