Think I might sell mine or give it to my niece. Can't remember the last time I switched it on

First Look at Nintendo Switch Lite: New Addition to the Nintendo Switch Family

HD rumble more pr than anything imo, IR port... what R&D is there lol

But really, this is fine, but $200 or $300 doesn't really matter for me, it's not like it's cheaper enough to make an impact on my economy and honestly I'll rather pay $100 more for better screen and battery life (while still dockable).
I used mine primarily as a handheld but I did dock it for party play with friends, don't want to miss that one.

Bought a switch again lol
At least I pretty much gave as much for this new edition (not lite) with better battery life as I sold my old one for.
Bought pokemon.... gave it about 5h...meh, not for me I'm afraid.
Looking at getting AC4 though, was my goty at release and haven't replayed it, will be great to pick it up on the go (almost exclusively played my switch in portable mode).

Switch did best weekly sales so far, this Black Friday week.

Maybe, I've never played a pokemon game before, but this feels so... simple...? Like a kiddy jrpg, the combat is super simple, no voice acting, bland environments etc. Maybe I'm just too late to get hooked idk

It’s always been kinda geared towards kids, kinda like kids first rpg/jrpg.

In my case, growing up with the cartoon kinda helped

I’m getting a Switch soon as I can find one on sale. Hopefully I can find a deal and deals on games day after Christmas. We’re excited about getting one. My wife and middle son have been playing a lot of 3DS and SNES mini lately.

"The Nintendo Switch's Home Menu is a piece of crap, all of the s***ty gigantic game icons are lined up in a row, but the rest of the games are tossed into a trash can called 'All Games'...I wonder have they (the people that made the menu) ever played the Nintendo fan boys' Switch?"

Haven't played the Switch in a while, but thinking about some games to play on it. I picked up Astral Chain recently so that's definitely happening soon. Also thinking of getting Pokemon Lets Go as I've never played one before. Seems like a good way to get into the series.

Witcher, Doom 1,2 and 3 (runs great now), assassins creed 4.
Haven't played astral chain, would like to here what you think.

I'm still doing my Fire Emblem 3 houses playthroughs. I might pick up Astral Chain and Tokyo Mirage Sessions sometime down the road. And if I ever pick up Pokemon Sword or Shield, I won't be seen again for quite a while.

It will probably be a while before I get to Astral Chain. Only reason I really grabbed it was because I had $40 in Best Buy rewards to spend so just went with that. The other games you listed I'd just play on other consoles.

I picked up Let's Go Pikachu last night, plus also ordered Yoshi's Crafted World, Daemon X Machina, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance as all were $10-15 off on top of my Gamer Club discount. Finishing up Tomb Raider 2013 right now so probably going to play Pokemon next.

Yes, I've played all of the mentioned titles on much better hardware (except perhaps doom, was a while since I played that), but the portability give the games a new dimension, should make it clear that I'd never play any of those games on my TV.

Looks pretty cool. I like the different colors for the joy-cons. I only have the red and blue from that bundle since I almost always use the Pro controller if I can.

I'm alright with that personally. I'm slowly making my way through the series and up next would be Majora's Mask so I'm quite a ways behind.

I've heard either the new Yoshi or Kirby game are pretty easy. Have them but haven't gotten to them yet. Currently playing through Pokemon Lets Go and it's fairly easy, straight forward RPG. Depending on age of kid that might be a good entry into RPGs.
