Just a quick update:
Went to bed early last night since I couldn't get on PSN. I'd rather have everything going before playing the system. Either way got logged in right away this morning and I'm currently playing KZ:SF. Not sure when the game installed because I put the disc in, it installed an update, and I added my iPhone to the companion app thing. Loaded up KZ and it started playing right away. Must start installing right after you put in the disc?
Graphics are pretty good and for the most part single player plays pretty smooth. Definitely not locked but also not all over the place. Definitely an upgrade from KZ3. Fan did speed up during one area but then returned to normal; don't notice it otherwise. The game must use the light bar for health because I noticed after starting the game after a little intro segment that the light turned green. Speaking of the light, at least in my situation it doesn't reflect off the screen. I actually saw the green reflecting off my finger tips.
The controller feels great. I didn't hate the DS3 outisde of a few items but this is so much better. At least in KZ:SF the R2 is default for shooting but there is another preset which flips R1/R2 and I believe L1/L2 as well.
Pretty neat hitting the PS button and flipping back to the UI, which by the way is fast as well, and nice and clean. No clutter allows you to just go place to place in hurry.

My plasma screen is more or less eye level from my couch, sorta worrying about the controller light. For some reason I didn't follow that closely, thought I'd be able to turn it off. Gonna look pretty lame having a giant piece of tape over my brand new controller. Oh wellz.
I haven't seen anything while digging through the menus. Last I heard though I thought I read that you couldn't set your own background image. I'm guessing for now it is what it is.

At least in KZ it's nice as hell. Although I loved how KZ3 worked with the DS3 so I might not be the best opinion.

I believe i heard you can only use official Sony themes and not gamer created one like you can on the PS3. So i believe you can change themes.
Man, downloads are fast.
Having some "unable to install" errors on some of the game preorder bonuses I received. Not sure if it's because I haven't put the game in yet, or if it's a network issue. Downloaded Resogun so fast it was ridiculous. Really far into the BF4 download already too. Crazy speeds at the moment.

Good to see people getting and enjoying their system and minimal problems so far.
Just had mine dropped off by the UPS truck. Can't wait until this evening when I can start playing...work can't wait unfortunately.
Got mine this morning and she's hooked up and purring like a kitten. A very quiet kitten. I played with the dash abit and played the intro level to Shadow Fall. Looks great. I'm just waiting for it to finish the complete install. (I assume that's what the spinning icon beside the game is on the home screen?) Next I'll install my PSN freebies.
Yes. The shooting has been moved to R2/L2 with killzone. I am not sure about BF4 or COD but I would be safe to assume to be the same.
