I'll get it, because I've played all the other seasons and want to see how it wraps up, although I'm not terribly excited about it. I'm a little tired of the Telltale formula, this series, parent-child stories, and zombies. But I'll hang in there for one more season.

I am excited for it. I also wonder what other plans Telltale has for new series. I would like to see Saga happen..but it probably never will because of its mature content. Maybe something like Spawn, The Defenders, Kick-Ass or Hit-girl would work?

Didn't even bother with the last after 2 and season 1 of Batman.

First 15 minutes.

"It’s still a very narrative-driven tale, but notice in that first sequence that combat is a little more open-ended, as opposed to a panic event where only one button press or direction-push resolves the outcome. Clementine also gathers items in the world which appear to have modification or crafting purposes."

I didn't want to spend 15 min. watching the whole thing, but I skimmed it and did see some of the changes they mentioned. Nothing major, but it does mix it up a little.

Animation still sucks...

A demo is out now for PS4 and Xbox, where you can play those first 15 minutes for yourself, if you like.

I'll just wait for all the episodes to be released, then pick it up.

I will try the demo to see the new souped up engine, really looks better now,but also wait for all of them to come out...played all of these and I still like their games, cant wait for Wolf amongst us 2 as well...whish they made another Borderlands also.

Skybound is finishing up the third episode, "Broken Toys," and it will be out January 15th. The season will wrap up with the fourth episode. No release date for that yet. Probably a couple months later.

The final episode is out March 26th, next Tuesday. It's time for me to start playing through the season, in preparation.

Final Season is running 76 on metacritic (PS4 and PC) after 28 reviews.

Here's IGN, who gave it 7.5:

About the last episode:

"As the bookend to a series that has had its fair share of ups and downs, Take Us Back brings the cycle to a close on as strong of a note as I could’ve imagined. The most gut-wrenching scene in the series is beautifully juxtaposed with a moving flashback scene. Take Us Back carefully treads the line of emotional manipulation, but it fittingly embodies the cyclical themes of The Final Season and the series as a whole."

The Verdict
The Walking Dead: The Final Season hones in on the dynamic and relationship between Clementine and A.J. to produce some startling situations, choices, and ripple effects that thread throughout all four episodes. At times, the story is bogged down and stalled by the new free-roaming gameplay and myriad side characters that are never fully developed, but each episode has a satisfying conclusion that effectively sets up the stakes for a thrilling finale. It’s a moving but bittersweet ending, especially considering this was the last game Telltale worked on before shutting down."

Finished the last episode. I'd give it an 8.0. It was touching, but they sort of side-stepped the horror. I wasn't too keen on the ending. It was okay.

The overall episode was well-done, though. It's a good-enough farewell.

Did Telltale just forget about Javier from the last season?

The ending didn't leave me feeling a whole lot but glad it got to be finished as it was a great series

It should have ended immediately after he saw Clementine at the school

The ending dragged on too long.
