Every holiday it easily hits $300. I usually have steak at all holidays in addition to the holiday specific foods such as turkey for Thanksgiving, ham for Easter. Labor Day it was around $250. I’m frugal most of the other days of the year. I only like cooking in the late fall and winter. The rest of the time I go out to eat at cheap, relatively health places, or go get some food from friends who won restaurants.Trying to think if I ever had $300 in food in my fridge at once. I'd imagine if I did, I wouldn't cry like a b**** in this example.
Like Bill Maher said this week, how much longer will the Caribbean be livable or even worth it? With the possibility of sea levels rising and increasing number and strength of storms will it eventually not even be worth living in those places?
We may already be there. If it takes years to rebuild the Bahamas or other Caribbean islands well the hurricanes are already getting worse every year. If the same islands get struck hard in back to back years its going to be hard to rebuild and very costly and even a US common wealth can no longer depend on US help, so what chance do some of the other islands have.Like Bill Maher said this week, how much longer will the Caribbean be livable or even worth it? As much as I hate the overcrowding and high cost of living that goes along with living in California (not to mention the threat of huge earthquakes) this kind of thing still keeps me from wanting to move to other parts of the country. I can't imagine living in an area where this is a threat every year.
I hope it stays that way for ya Sadly tornadoes happen all over the country, we had a small one near Sacramento a couple of weeks ago but the ones we get here In California are rare and usually F1 at the strongest. The one in the tweet I linked was really cool looking but only because I can watch it from afar. If I had to worry about that happening while I slept I think I'd have my house built mostly underground lol. It's tough for me with my job. I've been blown over once.
So far the move to Southeast has worked out so far and I've dodge the tropical storms.
