A hurricane in the Smokey Mountains? I've been hearing comments about a strange mudslide situation.

Also, is it unusual for a Hurricane coming like this to turn South? :txbconfused: That seems kind of weird.

It amazes me how many idiots there are. Hurricanes are something you should never take lightly and say “we’ll just ride it out it’ll be fine.” Nice to put their kids lives in danger.

OBX always gets the worst of it.

I'm sticking it out here in Wilmington, but to be honest I'm not too concerned about wind damage; more the flooding. Most of the people in my neighborhood stayed, but it's mostly brick houses and we're several miles away from river or ocean.

Mangkhut is now hitting Hong Kong, it's their equivlant of a Cat 5 Hurricane.

Brutal wind.

Someone made the comment on the thread, but also something I picked up on, was that explosion in the tornado video momentarily dissipating the funnel. I've seen plenty of tornado videos where it goes through transformers and what not and have never seen that before.
