He can just hide behind Mathew Riddle who has already threatened to beat the s*** out of Jericho (and he would do it easily)

Anyways belt has been found

Metlzer reporting there's been a switch up of lead writers on the show. Haven't read into it, but we'll see if that's a good or a bad thing.

Nah Jericho would give him a fight.
Besides he beat Goldberg in his prime.
Riddle its it's a legit MMA fighter who quit because of the stupid rules against marijuana. He would batter him. Goldberg is just muscle with little skill

Not agreeing...
Shock.

33 year old MMA fighter vs 48 year old pro wrestler who's only "real" fight was with a juiced up guy who got embarrassed by Regal on live TV.
All Chris did was take him down.. he isn't doing that with Riddle

Goldberg in his prime would beat his ass in a street fight as would Jericho and both would beat the overrated Regal.

Regal was a legit fighter. Beating the crap out of Storm was pretty funny.

Several stories of Steve Blackman being a badass when he was in the WWF

With all the buzz I'm surprised AEW didn't sell out for the first live show

I enjoyed the show and was surprised it was so good. Did not like the championship match...

Interesting because I thought that was the best match I watched on the show, though I did miss the opening match between Cody and whoever he wrestled.

Overall I thought the show was a solid building block, and am very interested to see where it goes. Wish I had watched NXT though, with Finn Balor being there again and Ciampa being back, it's a much more interesting show to me right now.

AEW was better imo.
Balor... Zzzz
Chompa coming back was good.

Also it's worth noting that AEW had much more viewers than NXT.

Fan feedback from the event confirmed empty seats.

Not devastating but a little surprising
It's pretty common for sections to be blocked off for all kinds of shows and events and still be considered a sellout because they sold all of the seats they made available. Often times if they know demand is going to be a little soft or if certain sections of the arena will have obstructed views etc they just won't open that block of seats up. I don't know if that's what happened here but just having empty seats doesn't mean it wasn't technically a sellout, all of the reporting on this even said it sold out on August 2nd.

Edit: Looks like they opened up more seats for sale days before the event because they figured out what areas would be needed to be blocked off for production. It also looks like a lot of secondary sellers had purchased a bunch of the initial batch and weren't able to sell them.

All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite will premiere on TNT this Wednesday, but even before we knew what the name of the show was the event was sold out.

The Washington DC debut of AEW: Dynamite sold out in around 15 minutes, but it could have been quicker if Ticket Master didn’t crash so many times. It turns out that the huge demand was the passionate AEW fans, yes, but also scalpers in a big way.

Tickets that scalpers were unable to sell are now flooding the market and Ticket Masker is listing verified resale tickets at the original value or even less in some cases. The concerning thing is how many available tickets there are left.

There will be open sections of seating all around the Capital One Arena which is disappointing. Some scalpers might have created such a panic that it caused actual AEW fans to decide against even going at all

Yeah sounds like a few upcoming shows are suffering because of scalpers

I didn't watch HIAC but how the hell do you end the show with a DQ in a HIAC match? that makes no sense at all. The fans should be chanting "Please Retire" or something like that so Vince knows it's about him. Actually I wish fans would do a sort of "strike" and just boycott Smackdown for a week or two both in person and on TV, that would probably get Vince's attention because it's on a new network. I know that'll never happen, people pay good money for the tickets and want to go but still things won't change if fans keep putting up with it.
