Um no and the ratings are climbing.
I been watching wrestling since the early 80's and this s*** that comes on USA and Fox isn't wrestling.
Ratings only really rose a little when NXT wasn't up against them, they had more viewers when the show first started than they do now. I've been watching wrestling since the 1980's too, went to my first live event on a rainy valentines day in 1986, this was the card
https://prowrestling.fandom.com/wiki/WWF_House_Show_(Feb_14,_86'_no.1) and went to many others after. I remember going to the Anaheim convention center and seeing Hogan vs the Big Bossman in a cage match (was the big blue one) and Slick called my brother a white boy MF'er when we were standing by the guardrail and he was selling Hogan throwing him into the side of the cage.
Later on in life I was lucky enough to have a friend that worked at Jakks Pacific when they did the action figures for WWF and got comped tickets for a couple of years and went to almost every show in Anaheim, even went to a Monday Night Raw. I even had a couple of original sculpts for a Kane action figure and Taka Michinoku but I sold them a loooong time ago. I always liked NWA more than WWF back then because I liked the matches better and the atmosphere, always loved the dark arenas and how loud their crowds were but WWF was also a lot of fun too it was just a lot more cartoonish. Now it's a mess, Seth Rollins is annoying AF, his voice is awful so hearing him do a promo is like nails on a chalk board, we've seen Randy Orton feud with everyone twice, they've ruined Strowman and Bray Wyatt and they push the women's division too hard when only a few of them are even worth a damn.
When it comes to AEW there is no storytelling it's all gimmick matches and people doing over the top stuff all the time, nothing feels special because nothing is ever normal there. I can't stand the Young f***s, Kenno Omega or Moxley so that doesn't help and I've never been much of a Jericho fan but seeing him out of shape with that 70's school librarian hairstyle makes it even worse lol. I think AEW needs to slow down, they need to take a breath and plan things out better, if Cody Rhodes is supposed to be this great wrestler he shouldn't struggle with job guys, if Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara are having a feud they should have at least started with a normal match first and worked towards something bigger not starting with special stipulation matches and just making them more and more violent each time.
I was watching some YouTube clips from their recent show and man their set almost looks like a cartoon, too many lights and it's just too bright overall, not a fan of those tunnels either.
