Didn't watch last night, but that's awesome that Samoa Joe won the United States Championship. Bout time he got some gold.

Now let him have a good run and make him a monster, not just some dude who holds the title. Really feel like that championship hasn't mattered since.................maybe AJ Styles had it? Hard to care about it even then

You can say this about anyone, but it'd be badass if they had Joe beat Lex Luger's reign as longest reigning US Champion.

I'm all for Dean leaving, he's not good in the ring at all and is very uneven on the mic, sometimes he can be funny and other times he's just dull. Everything he does in the ring looks fake other than that rebound clothesline. I think it's a nice send off to him and also a sort of nice welcome back to Roman for a last run together, it keeps them in 6 man tag matches at live events so Roman doesn't have to do too much at once in long singles matches as well.

So Shield Reunion Part III? Wonder if that means Dean is still leaving. I didn't watch last night, but WWE mentioned it on the broadcast apparently which could mean it's a work? IDK anymore!

Also, I wish I cared about them having a match against The Evil League of Evil. They're going to destroy them in like five seconds on Sunday. Here's hoping for a Reigns heel turn, but I bet if they go that route it'll be Dean again and it sets up a Wrestlemania match between him and Reigns.

Reigns logo on his shirt is in the form of a cancer ribbon. That boy isn't turning heel. They probably will never let him.

But if you read the actual wwe article they make it clear what numbers they are using and really.... Who cares?

Anyone else here old enough to have been watching wrestling in the 80's? if so who watched WWF and NWA and actually enjoyed NWA more because of the in ring action even with their lower level production values? That doesn't mean I didn't like WWF as well but I always thought NWA had more intense shows due to the action in the ring seeming more realistic.

Not old enough to have lived through it, but I've watched quite a bit myself. My take away is that the character work and promo style was way more fun, at least for WWE. Many of the matches are interesting and fun to watch, but I do find myself enjoying modern matches more.

I find too many modern matches just seem like a repeat of the one before it, they also tend to not tell a story as much as just try to get all of their moves in before time runs out. I think a lot of it also has to do with the crowds, crowds back then really played into the show like it was real, now too many people want to be a part of the show and it kills the atmosphere.

WWE wrestlers really should be considered employees, the company is too big and too wealthy to get away with calling them contractors.

This is really good, not sure how long it'll be up though. WWE wrestlers really should be considered employees, the company is too big and too wealthy to get away with calling them contractors.

John Oliver? It’s usually on YouTube for free through Last Weekend Tonight’s channel. It was a good main story and quite sad. I don’t remember the Jake the Snake fund. I would have donated.

The official clip wasn't up yet so I linked one that was put up by someone else, that was taken down but the official one is up now so I've replaced it :)

It's unfair to blame 95% of wrestler deaths on any of the wrestling companies.

In the WWE's case Hart is the main one you can blame on them.

Yeah they have careers before WWE and after so you can't put the blame on them but you can ask why they don't give their current employees health benefits and try to pressure them to change the culture of people working when they are injured. I think they may have already started doing work on the second part but health benefits should be given, I also can't believe they have something in the contract that states they aren't responsible for an injury or death if it's caused by their own negligence.

So I'm guessing WM will be about 10hrs?

They really need to cut that crap back, the crowds are always dead halfway through the show and they keep hyping up the "women headlining WrestleMania" thing, that's going to go over great with a dead crowd.
