Goldberg seems like a waste of money, he can't perform anymore and he'd just be made to look strong over guys who can actually go.
He did enough when he was last in wwe.
He just needs to be there and in shape.

Wwe had him recently lol
Yeah and it was awful, he had 2 minute matches (at most) and hurt himself even in that short amount of time. He's someone who worked well as a package when he was young enough and roided up enough to be able to sell it, he's not that guy anymore.

Well yeah from a pure talent standpoint he's not amazing, but he could be a big draw for ratings alone. Want to see good wrestling, but they need star power too.
His star doesn't shine anymore, he's been out of the business for far too long and can't perform at any real level. They have Jericho for name recognition and he can still put on decent matches. They'll be signing WWE guys before long so the star power thing will come in time.

He did what he needed 2 and it was enjoyable.

If you were a fan of his yeah, he was getting booed a lot because people didn't care for him.
Everybody and there mother talked about him when he returned and were going on about him squashing lesner.
I don't care what the fans who cheer rusev at the events do.

Yeah maybe the smarks view him that way but casuals will want to see what he's capable of. AEW isn't really in the position to draw casuals just yet, which is the WWE's bread and butter.

He has no talent, he's nowhere near as big as he used to be physically or in popularity and he'd either hurt himself or some younger star who was being used to put him over. This company will have the funding to get real talent, being a place that just gets WWE castoff's didn't help TNA much, AEW needs to focus on providing something different. Honestly I'm not all that psyched that they went after Jericho but at least he can do something on the microphone, his in ring work is a lot sloppier than it used to be but even now he's still 100 times better than Goldberg.

You are talking about no talent? Haven't you defended Roman Reigns in these threads?
IF its true AEW got Kenny Omega..... they ALREADY got better talent then the wwe.
Most of the people they signed are ranked the best at what they do.(best singles and tag)
The style of wrestling they offer wwe has been trying to replicate with nxt as this is what todays wrestling fans want.
The owners I believe I read have 7 billion to work with and luv wrestling.
I said it b4 and ill say it again MONEY talks did you hear what Y2J said when asked about working for them after saying he wouldn't work for another wrestling company in NA? He said hes never been offered that kind of money b4(inb4 the Y2J isn't important anymore response).... wwe have contracts expiring soon. Lets see what happens.

Reigns was 10 times the performer that Goldberg was, sadly too many people seem to hate the guy for no good reason. He is more athletic, sells better, puts together better matches, has been part of the best match on the card several times, that's something Roidberg has never done.

The fact that Goldberg would want mega money and would end up taking away from what they'd have to bring other talent in should be enough for people to not want him. He's not a star anymore, he came back and the novelty wore off quickly. He can't put together a match with anyone and this new company will have a lot of people waiting to come on so there is no need for a desperation signing like Goldberg IMO, as I've said they should use that money on talent that'll be available from WWE very soon.

No no he wasn't lol and the crowd saw through him.
Roidberg eh? Roman did roids as well but Goldberg moved better,is stronger and most importantly IS A BIGGER DRAW.
Money isn't a issue so they can throw money at all the wrestlers they choose.

Agree with you on Reigns. He's super talented, but was just overpushed by Vince Super Cena style.

And IDK about that. I personally loved his short match with Lesnar from Wrestlemania whenever that was.

Reigns and super talented dont belong in the same sentence.

Pulling for him as a person to get well though.

Super man punch x10! (Terrible)spear oh and another spear! man is terrible in the ring.
His matches against Braun, Lesnar (part 1 especially), Rollins, Wyatt, and AJ were great in my opinion. I'd blame most of his issues on booking. He's decent if not good on the mic, and gets a strong reaction everytime he's out there.

Dude is a legit top talent. Hoping he comes back after his battle with leukemia.

Reigns is best on the Mic when allowed to be himself rather than the junk the writers had him saying are times

He's not worthy of the top spot.

Moved better? Are you kidding? He did a back flip once almost 20 years ago and that's about the most impressive thing he's done. Also Reigns tested positive for something but we don't know what, I read a few rumors that it was for a recreational drug but either way he's still far more of an overall athlete than Roidberg is. He's not a bigger draw either, the guy got a lot of attention at first when he came back and the crowd grew tired of him quickly, even only having a couple of matches and most of those were under 2 minutes long (and he still hurt himself) The guy isn't a wrestler and he won't fit in with the guys that they've signed so far.

Goldberg has more than 3 or 4 moves and Goldberg has a convincing spear.
Jackhammer, Spear, Retirement kick and a press powerslam and he can't even do those like he used to. The guy lost a huge amount of his size and along with that his strength. He can't sell for s***, Reigns can make the other guy look good and that's not something the bald headed joke has ever been able to do.

That back flip alone is more impressive than reigns whole moveset.
