Thor: Love And Thunder - May 6, 2022

lol I'm lost. I actually enjoyed the first 2 movies. I will admit The Dark World isn't quite a fun exactly, but this is running fast from being to serious to being to cheesy.

I did enjoy a lot from Ragnarok, but it had little to do with the attempts to emulate GotG humor. I liked the Hulk, Thor really using more of his lightning ability to fight, but especially Cate Blanchette as Hela.
Hela was a great villain.

Thor is Thor, it's his name not his job so it's not the same thing as Captain America who's got a real name and identity aside from his hero name. It just seems lazy, like I'm totally cool with making an alternate universe thing like Miles Morales with Spider-Man because they didn't take it away from peter parker they gave the guy his own storyline. I mean it's still lazy to just keep making different versions of the same character but at least one doesn't erase the other. Calling a female character Thor just seems stupid, if she gets his powers through the hammer or whatever then give her a different name, when Rogue got Captain Marvel's powers they didn't change her name to Captain Marvel she was just Rogue with those powers.

She’ll be called Mighty Thor

Somehow I'm the only one really looking forward to this on this forum. I don't get it, Thor Ragnarok absolutely ruled. How could you not have faith in the next chapter written and directed by the same dude?

Day one for me, unless there’s a fan event before the official release date...day zero???

Ragnarok was a fun movie but it didn't do anything to further the franchise, they actually sacrificed a lot for no real reason other than to set up the next two Avengers movies. Thor without Asgard and Odin just won't seem like a Thor movie to me, especially if he's all of the sudden sharing his power or whatever it is with his ex who's played by an actress who's clearly only back for the money.

I know this is a way delayed response, but literally every Marvel movie was a set up to an Avengers movie lol. Also, while Asgard was pretty important to Thor movies, over half of each movie took place on Earth, or Saakar. Have some faith, it'll be good, yadda yadda

No. I'm looking forward to it. I just don't see how Lady Thor gets the power of Thor... Only Odin can strip him of his power, and the hammer isn't the holder of Thor's power. So.....
