Its Micheal bay and Megan fox. Good story or not this is likely to be mediocre. All I am hoping for is some quality choreography and action sequences.

Wait....seriously? You just killed any motivation I had for this...

Looks fine to me.
It's stupid to change the origin unnecessarily, but its not like the original was a piece of inspired storytelling. It was a pretty generic - radioactive goop transforms characters into heroes.
If the change allows for some new, interesting twists or depth or something then I'm fine with it.

It's a Michael Bay movie. All we're guaranteed to get is explosions. And lots of them.

I don't hate Michael Bay like some do. I actually think he's comparable in many ways to Spielberg, who I also don't hate (but am not a huge fan of). Some of his stuff is pretty corny and cheesy, but the same goes for Spielberg. Bay's stuff is usually visually and technically very high-caliber. Transformers was fine, it just tried to be family friendly and had too much comedy. TMNT was already kind of comedy-ish to start with, I don't think it's outside of Bay's skill set. TMNT is colourful and fun, it's not a deep and nuanced property that needs some French art-house director helming it.

Pain & Gain was good fun and shows that Bay's not just an explosions and slo-mo blockbuster machine.

Not sure if this movie will have it but a sequel better have the Technodrome, and if so you know Bay would go apes*** having that thing blown to hell.

Also I'd like to read the new TMNT series but wish they had a compendium collected edition like Image does with a few of their books.

I think my main problem is that right off the bat, Bay looks like he's taking it in some French art-house direction. Almost taking the property too seriously. That's just initial reactions on my part. As for Transformers, the big problem with the series is the comedy and far too large a cast of human characters. Some of the stuff is just plain stupid at times, like seeing John Turtorros bare ass. Really didn't need to see that. Had a close-up and everything. Another problem with it was how they used some characters, like the british girl in the third one manages to manipulate Megatron. Guy barely knows the chick, could crush her right then and there, and the main villain of the series is just made to look like a total moron. It kills what I feel the immersion of the movie, which is what I always felt was a goal for the series. I still say they could just remake the 80s movie and make just about the same amount of cash.
