f*** you! I can never put my thoughts together for a comprehensive list. Very hard to say, but I do know Nightmare Before Christmas would be somewhere high up there. Just a movie that holds up well.

As much as we disagree on games, I'm surprised we can agree a lot more on movies. And why you didn't reply to my thread, bad man.

I sort of have no idea about a top 10 list, there are so many movies with so many movies being near equal in likes, dislikes similar situations or conclusions. eh...

I'll just try to list 10 movies I have really enjoyed

2001
Alien
The Thing
Terminator 2
Star Wars 4/5/6
Boxer from Shantung
Delightful Forest
The 36th Chamber Of Shaolin
Snake In The Eagle’s Shadow

Hmmm....have no clue on order.

Another Earth
Alien
Unforgiven
Rocky 2
Matrix
Se7en
Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robet Ford

another earth, so it's good then? some of the posters with the sci-fi element looked interesting but i put it off because of the bad reception. may have to give it a shot (i like mostly the rest of your list)

I'll delete it. It was mostly for you anyhow.

No particular order, and I make no distinction between "good" movies and ones I like to watch...

Memento
Pulp Fiction
National Lampoons Vacation
Predator
Star Wars 4-6
To Live and Die in LA
Aliens
Where Eagles Dare
Terminator 1-2
Stand by Me

I think he's thinking of After Earth.

Ruh Roh. You said the name, now you are 4 brain cells worse off

After Earth is terrible. Easily one of the worst movies ever made. Would be shame if just a singular person got Another Earth confused with that POS.

I've told people about Another Earth before and their response was, "The Will Smith movie?"

Nothing wrong with will smith though, gotta love that fresh prince.

Nah, I'm a Will Smith fan. Love some of his mindless action stuff like Bad Boys, Independence day, and I robot. I also like some of his more serious movies like, Pursuit of Happiness, Seven Pounds, and Ali.

In no particular order:

Once Upon a Time in the West
Seven Samurai
Breathless
Chungking Express
Rosemary's Baby
2001: A Space Odyssey
Rushmore
Fargo
My Neighbor Totoro
The 400 Blows

Every movie on my list I can put in at this very moment, or any given moment, and enjoy. Of course, when I look at it, I think, where's Robocop? So if I had 11, Robocop would be on there.

They're certainly a lot of films I'm terribly fond of that I would like to include, like Wings of Desire, Days of Heaven, Still Walking, Le Samouraï, and many more, but they're very mood dependent for me, as opposed to any time of the day.

Plus there is s*** like The Dark Knight, Drive, Predator, The Killer, The Fly, and so on that I could get behind any day of the week.

Some great movies in this thread, nice to see Where Eagles Dare, Blue Velvet, The Thing, Prometheus. . . wait what?

Le Samouraï, pretty unknown to general public and so underrated. I have it on DVD but am waiting for a great Blu-ray transfer. I still need to see Days of Heaven and Wings of Desire.
