Give it a week or two, and the Game Lineup thread will take the third spot from Titanfall. Then we'll have the two most embarrassing threads in the #1 and #3 spots. :laugh:

I was surprised to see that Titanfall generated so many pages. I would guess that most of that discussion happened before the release of the game. I didn't read much of it, but I'm assuming a high percentage of that discussion was fanboy or console war-related argument. I know there has been a lot of that in the GXD thread, too, historically, although it's gotten better lately.

p.s. All this is true of other forums, too, of course. Most of the energy tends to go into the console war topics.

The PC Game Sales and Deals Thread v2.0 has 49 pages, and that's the 2nd version of it.

Ah, ok, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't check the PC forum, figured there wasn't anything that made the v.2.0 mark (or 1.1, our notations seem to differ). So that'll take 5th place. I'll edit the list.

Good point. That explains why relatively minor games (e.g., DA:I, Ryse) are among the top threads.
 
If you assume all the Destiny posts would be in one Destiny OT, it would be 268 pages long. That would put it in second place.

You can't do the same with the Halo subforum, because they are separate games, but the Halo MCC thread has 68 pages, which would put it right after Ryse. There are 165 other pages of Halo-related discussion in that thread, but since they aren't focused on a single game, I'm reluctant to group them together.

I've edited the list to reflect that.

I wish we had a program that would tell us that. Unfortunately, we don't have one of those, and figuring it out by hand would be very tedious. You'd have to go through all 702 pages, tallying post counts for each of the top posters. Not my favorite way to spend a day...

We could make pretty good guesses, though.

What a shame.

Maybe we can dupe a forum member in to doing it by telling them their consoles wins if they get the right answer? :laugh:

ha. We could also do a random sample of the pages, say 20 or 30 of them or so, rather than all 702.

However, I don't want to embarrass anyone. :) (edit: and I also don't want to look through 20 pages of that stuff).

Here's the Top 5 posters from the Games Lineup Comparison Thread (last 100 posts, same caveat as above):

1. Valliance, 28 posts
2. McMasters, 15 posts
3. dead1, 15 posts

5. Qbert, 7 posts

Valliance took the top spot in both lists, accounting for over 1/4 of the posts in both threads, all by himself.
