Here's a 10-minute walkthrough with Greg Kasavin talking about the game:

Looks like it has well-designed art and a fairly intricate upgrade/combat system. I'm not a big fan of top-down RPGs, but I'll definitely check it out. I'm sure it'll be a high-quality game.

Plan on downloading it tonight for the PC. I haven't seen any reviews yet. Has anyone started playing?

Looking forward to impressions. Also, moving topic to multiplatform discussion, due to the game being released on both the PC and PS4.

Really not sure if I want this or not. I never liked Bastion, but this is the kind of atmosphere I hate and love at the same time. Maybe I'm confused because the lead character looks great. My decision changes by seconds. Oh god.

Thinking about getting it. Haven't decided yet though. Just not sure if I'll have time. Still working on Child of Light and Wolfenstein is out today.

Game's killing it. Props to Sony for letting Indies release on other platforms day one and getting title like this as a result.

Bastion was one of my fav indie games last gen, will have to get it, though will probably be a bit down the line.

Damn, I want to get this but between Wolfenstein (loving this, BTW) and Watch_Dogs (hopefully it's good) I'm just tapped out this month. I'll def pick it up when the summer sale rolls around though.

I got really excited to play this. I jumped on my 360 and a wave of disappointment washed over me. It's only on ps4 and pc.

I can't imagine that this game would take even a mid-range PC to run well. I haven't checked requirements but it looks like the kind of game a basic office PC could run (read: playable) with the built in CPU graphics.

And I certainly would play on PC if I had my PC at my current residence. Le sigh.

That's unfortunate. :(

It looks like a fun game and is getting mostly positive feedback. I don't know if I can wait for a steam sale to pick it up.

I'll probably get this soon. My PS4 is an indie powerhouse right now and for some reason, one that I can't understand, this game reminds me of my favorite movie in years, Drive.

I watched someone play part of this on Twitch earlier today. Absolutely gorgeous game, awesome soundtrack and a unique combat system. I'll definitely be picking this up after I finish with Wolfenstein.

I was glad to read in the IGN review about the pause/plan system. As someone who's not very good at twitchy action games, I appreciate that.

"The battle mechanics are some of the most rewarding I've played in years. This is thanks in part to your ability to freeze time and plan out a series of moves. Once you’ve locked in your choices, restarting time and watching the success or folly of your actions never gets old."

I like the aesthetic qualities of the game (music, visuals).

It's nice to hear they're using the speaker on the PS4 controller well, too.

"On PS4, you can choose to have the sword’s voice come out of the speaker on the controller. While it seems gimmicky on paper, I found myself playing through the entire game this way, and really appreciating the immersion it added to my experience."

That's perfect, for a weapon that talks. You're holding it in your hands, so that's where the sound comes from. Nice touch.

That's one of the things I loved so much about the KotOR games, the ability to play it as a fast paced action game or a planned out turn based RPG. I'd play it in real time when I wanted and if I was tired of feeling sluggish in my choices I'd use the pause/plan system.

Very similar to what No More Heroes did on the Wii.

Game is amazing. So much build variety, very pretty to look at and it's no push-over like Bastion was. I had to remove (I forgot what they're called) the enemy buff equivalent to shrines because I kept getting murdered. What makes it tough is if you "die" enough to start to lose your abilities until you interact with a certain number of unique stations that you use to set your build. I've got about 2-3 hours in and I'm already certain I'll play through this at least once more.
