So it’s a souls-like game?
I found a sword and shield. I kill things and get little cubie things. Not sure what they do. Probably a currency. There are little pyres you can rest at. It'll go from day to night and vice versa. Creatures once dead will show back up. If you die, you'll wake up at the last pyre you rested at. You can go to the last place you died and retrieve your little cubie things. You can unlock shortcuts, as well.

It felt soul-like. Probably a Zelda aesthetic and souls mechanic.

That's after 30 mins. of gameplay.

Well I played the demo. It was fun until that boss guy came out of the ground. Tried 3 times to beat him and no dice. I won’t be getting this game.

Did you try the dynamite? I’m on the fence but I think I may get it, even though all I hear in my mind is “get good”

Wow, intersesting how everyone had a different experience. I had classic sword and shield. I never made it to the big boss though.

I had the shield too, I forgot about that. The skeleton looking boss can be accessed as soon as you get the sword. You just go right back to the very beginning of the map and you can cut your way to the left (left on your way back, right if you were starting at the beginning of the game). Once you break through the blocks and twist through the construction signs, he will come up out of the ground.

Ok, the shops entrance is just a tad bit further south-west of where you find the sword, go down the steps and you see it, just before the blockade
I would have to RESINSTALL it....

I think if it just told you what the stuff was when you picked it up and when you read signs and whatnot, I'd put the effort into it. I tried it for a half hour or so, and I think I'll play it when it's out, but if I wanted to read some made up imaginary language to play games, I'd just play in Dutch.

Not kidding. My wife was watching me play and she says "why is it in Chinese?". :really:

Hated the demo because I couldnt even finish it,the combat was awful and too hard...kinda like Death's Door...just tired of those hard ass Indie games I guess lol.

Death's Door was manageable. Albeit, I had to replay them a few times, but not too frustrating. Tunic was good. It's too hard to gauge the difficulty in the demo, but I liked enough of it and look forward to it.

I don't mind a challenge, but everyone has a line between the fun/challenging part and just plain aggravating.

I haven’t finished Death’s Door yet, but I wouldn’t say it’s particularly difficult. It’s been a while since I played the Tunic demo, but it seemed reasonable.
