I really don't know how I missed this but, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 stream your games. I thought it was just clip uploading. It's streaming as well. I'm not sure how I missed that. This is really cool.

The PS4 blurs out friends names when it streams. Does the Xbox One do the same? I hope so.

I guess that would depend on if that is a built-in PS4 feature, or a Twitch streaming feature.

It sounds interesting. I've heard people talk about how they just get sucked into sitting there and watching other people's twitch feeds for a long time.

I tried it last night and had a friend view it. Pretty cool. Watched a couple feeds as well.

I never got Twitch, why the f*** would you want to watch someone else play video games? Go play them yourself.

I can maybe understand if it's a game that's not released yet but that's about it.

Maybe if it's someone who is really good at a game. Like a competitive gamer. Could pick up some tips by watching them.

If you're not at home to play, it's fun to watch people play, who are actually good.

I also like to watch replays of friends if they did some great gameplay in-game. It's sad that I've had so many great moments in BF4 that I can't replay them.

Halo 3's film theater was such a godsend to console gaming, so many times I'd create clips or invite a friend to watch a replay with me and it was fun!

I've used twitch for a while for esports and the main draw to watching a stream is if the person playing it is entertaining or not. Someone that is just straight playing a game without talking, no camera and very little stream interaction won't get many views. To be a successful streamer, you have to be entertaining first and gameplay is secondary.

I'm really curious if console streaming will take off on twitch now with both consoles having it integrated. I checked out some ps4 streams, but only ones from known esports personalities so far.

I think it will be interesting to check out games I have no intention of playing, since I won't care about spoilers. That's the one difference b/w esports streams as there's no story to spoil and you're just watching multiplayer. I've stayed away from ac4 streams because I plan to buy it, so didn't want any story spoilers.

I was watching people stream the PS4 on their twitch accounts the past few days before launch just to get a feel of how it worked. It's also nice to see other people attempt to answer and clarify any questions that the viewers have.

Yea but Halo 3's theater was different, obviously if you did something hilarious or unbelieveable you'd wanna share the time with your friends, but what I am talking about LIVE STREAMING. The last thing I'd want to do as a gamer is watch someone else play video games when i could just play myself.

Depends if you're somewhere where you don't have access to playing and you want to watch.

There's also great players on Twitch, I like to see what higher caliber players do, but just watching an avg joe could be boring.
