Ubisoft has announced the Hasbro Game Channel, offering new ways to play popular Hasbro family board game brands this autumn on Xbox One and PS4. Monopoly, Risk and Trivial Pursuit will be available to play through the channel on Xbox One and PS4, while on Xbox 360 and PS3, each game will be released for individual download via XBLA and PSN.

Each game will offer a variety of missions and rewards, as well as achievements, while offering new ways to play and capturing "all of the excitement and fun of Hasbro’s most popular games," said Thomas Painçon, EMEA Digital Publishing Director at Ubisoft.

Monopoly Plus will be among the games to arrive with the Hasbro Game Channel, bringing the original 2D Monopoly board, with "colourful and lively" 3D animations that evolve as you progress during a game. You'll be able to choose your own 'House Rules' to customise the game, and up to 6 players will be able to enjoy Monopoly Plus online or offline.

Risk will also hit the Hasbro Game Channel, with the authentic 2010 rules included as standard, tasking players with flexing their tactical and strategical muscle on 3D battlefields with configurable win conditions and rule variants. Risk will come complete with online league play, enabling players to compete with rivals from around the globe.

And finally, Trivial Pursuit Live! will be the final initial title available with the Hasbro Game Channel. A new take on the trivia game, Trivial Pursuit Live! reinvents the standard experience as a TV show with new question formats, customisable game lengths, rules and game rounds that'll keep players guessing what's coming next.

Hasbro Game Channel will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 in autumn 2014. Monopoly Plus, Risk and Trivial Pursuit Live! will each be available individually via XBLA for Xbox 360 and PSN for PS3.

An some people don't think services like these will take off. Pffft.
Well I'd hardly think this will take off in a way that proves services like this can and will be successful, but I still think this could be cool. Hopefully these are even better than 1vs100 on the 360. Loved playing that.

I'm not really sure honestly. They discontinued it obviously, but I don't remember the reason.
