Ubisoft Pulls their Upcoming Games From Steam (Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity) [Has Been Fixed]

Don't see this is as being a good move at all.
 
What the hell is going on here.........Game is 47.99 on GMG just incase your interested, check the VIP section.
 
and they want to better support PC gamers, LOL.
 
It appears that there was a massive error according to a random Steam user who called Ubisoft support.

This was simply an error on region restrictions for the UK which somehow managed to pull the game from the storefront worldwide. All of your preorders will be honored and the game will return shortly.

They want to ruin their PC sales by keeping it exclusive on that terrible U-Play so they can complain piracy killed their game sales.
 
The likely reason is that they do not want to lose royalty fee to Steam, & better control of pricing. You need Uplay to play Ubisoft game to begin with.
 
All their new releases are unavailable in the UK now. Uh, what, Ubi? It's no doubt some exclusive deal with a UK store, I'm pretty sure GAME have pulled this crap before here.
