Ultra HD(4K)

I don't think there is any UHD Blu Ray's yet with Dolby Vision right?

Yeah the Despicable Me movies, that awful Res Evil movie and I know Power Rangers will have it as well. So nothing for me yet, hoping WBs future releases will have it Wonder Woman would look great with DV.

Doesn't Xbox One S support Dolby Vision via UHD BR? I know it does via Netflix...
No, but apparently MS said that X1X only supports the HDR standard, HDR10 "at this time".

Finally a movie is coming out on UHD-Blu-ray that I want, Kong Skull Island is coming out in July with HDR support. I streamed it yesterday on PSN and it looks awesome in just 1080p, I'm really looking forward to seeing what 4K and HDR add.

Eww no, I'll keep waiting for a good movie. Hope Disney joins in soon, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 would look beautiful in DV.
Guardians 2 will be the first 4K Disney title to be released. It will contain both DV and HDR10, and will contain an Atmos soundtrack. Sounds great!

One catch: as with quite is few titles, the move was produced for theaters with a 2K digital intermediate. This is likely the resolution that the CGI was rendered, even though the raw footage is 8K. There is no way that they would rerender the movie just for the format. It will definitely appear a bit softer than some native 4K titles. Still, the HDR options seem like it will look well beyond standard Blu-ray, and you know the scaling will be beyond what a player or a TV could do on the fly.

Yes, there will also be a 3D BD release.

"Make no mistake, the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray DESTROYS the Blu-ray in every possible way... I'm not kidding or exaggerating. No hyperbole whatsoever. The difference is visible and dramatic...

The Blu-ray is like watching the movie with sunglasses on, where as the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is like watching after you've had laser eye surgery.

...unless there are serious flaws hiding somewhere, Guardians Vol. 2 is probably going to set a new standard as the best, demo-worthy 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray the young format has ever seen... this movie looks bolder, brighter, and more colorful than "Pacific Rim" and "The Great Gatsby".

I wanted to get the Sony UBP-x800 UHD player but I wonder if it'll be redundant with the XBX coming out. I know dedicated players are better but I wish it was cheaper and getting a Dolby Vision update.

X could get a DV update..
I am hoping cause my Samsuck player is getting put it the box and I am using the X as my main player.
They really need to support it.

They already have a Dolby Atmos app on Xbox that lets you pay the one-time license fee for Atmos for headphone (Atmos surround set-up is free). They could set it up the same way for Dolby Vision.
