My Amazon preorder of The Thing finally showed up today. I'm really happy with the PQ. Between the color, lighting, darkness, and explosions, the HDR was absolutely gorgeous on my setup. Easily the best this has ever looked on home media, definitely worth picking up if you're a fan.

Preordered Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

Never even thought for one second this would get a 4K release.

I've watched the Total Recall disc a couple times, it looks really nice.

Great review for the upcoming Silence of the Lambs 4K UHD:

Kino's 4K UHD release of Jonathan Demme's "The Silence of the Lambs" is a must-own for fans of this film (which is a formidable-ly large group.) As we are seeing frequently, it is hard to get the 4K UHD screen captures to do justice to the impeccable image filled with consistent grain and wonderful sharpness. We've done our best - trust me - this is a spectacular package - a brilliant 3840 X 2160 resolution image, Tim Lucas commentary, extensive extras on the second disc Blu-ray (with its own strong image) and impressive poster-related cover and slipcase. It has our highest recommendation. A huge keeper for me. New adopters shouldn't hesitate for a moment. This one and John Carpenter's "The Thing" in 4K UHD are two of my favorite viewing so far this year.

I finally received my Halloween 1 through 5 Collector's Edition UHDs late last week. So far I've watched 3 through 5, all have looked quite nice in Dolby Vision. I was going to save the first two to watch on Halloween, but I may not be able to hold out.

Going to try to pick up the new Scream UHD tomorrow.

Preordered and got this a few days ago. I kinda wish I didn't buy it as I didn't know it was coming from a 2K DI and upscaled to 4K until it was already on the way. The regular blu-ray is already showpiece material and they also didn't bother to upgrade the sound track, still DTS-HD MA 5.1., no Atmos upgrade.

Also, current Criterion Collection 4k releases. May get Citizen Kane again. Possibly Menace II Society also. I loved Uncut Gems, but don't need to dip into the Criterion treatment of that yet.

One of the best 4K discs Pacific Rim is from a 2K DI. Its amazing, haven’t watched my copy of Inglorious Basterds yet but I’m sure it will look great and best the bluray.

Finally watched the Silence of the Lambs UHD, it's great. I've watched the Criterion edition Bluray 2 or 3 times and always thought it looked great. This uses the same master, but is actually in 4K quality, which adds even more impressive detail, and the Dolby Vision does a fantastic job perfecting the contrast levels and color. Definitely worth buying as a companion to the Criterion special features if you're a big fan of the film! Can't wait to watch it again.

Amazon's had a ton of 4K sales so far this week ahead of Black Friday. I picked up Scot Pilgrim for $10 a few days ago. Worth checking out the best deals section of Bluray.com from time to time.

I sadly finally just bought the 4KUHD of Godzilla vs Kong last week at Best Buy for $23, and now it's $10 on Amazon! Oh well, at least the copy I picked up at Best Buy had a slipcover....a $13 extra slip cover...ha.

Was browsing around the store and was surprised to see No Time to Die came out already, scooped this one as I skipped seeing it in theaters.

I've got all of the other craigfilms on blu ray, they are good enough to the point where I dont think its worth it to upgrade them all.

I'm looking forward to picking up both Dune and Halloween Kills on 4KUHD on Tuesday. Already some buzz online that the Dune disc may be hard to beat for the rest of the year in regards to PQ and audio quality. I was disappointed by Halloween Kills in October, but it's awesome the disc will include an extended cut, Dolby Vision and Atmos, and far more extras & features than the Halloween 2018 disc included.
