Uncharted Legacy of Thieves collection

I can finally play through Lost Legacy

No Way GIF

I'm still torn as why Legacy of thieves contains Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy only. Seems like it SHOULD contain UC1-3 as well.

Is the upgrade pricing not available yet for owners of a past gen version? I was looking on the PSN store during lunch and could only find the full price preorder.

On January 28, 2022, anyone who owns Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, or Uncharted 4: A Thief's End & Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Digital Bundle for PS4 will have the option to pay $10 to upgrade to Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Digital Version.Dec 29, 2021

Players who purchased Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, or Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End & Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Digital Bundle have the option to pay $10/€10 to upgrade to Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Digital Version. The upgrade will be available starting at launch on January 28, 2022.

Owners of PS4 disc copies must insert them into the PS5 every time they want to download or play the PS5 digital versions. PS4 game disc owners who buy the PS5 Digital Edition disc-free console will not be able to get the PS5 version for the discounted price.

PlayStation Plus members who claimed Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End via their PlayStation Plus subscription are not eligible for the $10/€10 digital PS5 upgrade.

Please note that the multiplayer mode included in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will not be a part of this new collection.

I have UC4 and Lost Legacy on separate discs, can I still upgrade to the PS5 versions for 10 bucks?

I'm confused. I have Uncharted 4 on disc but I can't use it since I have the PS5 digital edition, obviously. Also own it through PS+ and that's not eligible.

BUT I own Lost Legacy digitally. Will I be eligible for the $10 upgrade? I'll technically never be able to get Uncharted 4 as part of the bundle without paying the full price, I assume.

Lost Legacy should get you the upgrade for both

Pretty low effort release IMO, good thing its only 10 bucks to upgrade, 0 way I'd pay 50 for this.

This is looking great, I was only going to play through Lost Legacy for the first time with these upgrades, but I'm tempted to check out 4 again. Wish there was a bigger gap between this and Horizon's release, it stinks we didn't get this in time for the holidays.

- There are some improvements to the visuals apart from resolution. Increase in LOD distance and less pop-in. The brightness and contrast have been changed and the game looks punchier. Some textures are better too. There are differences in reflections and shading too. Some changes to the motion blur.

- There are 3 mode: Fidelity, Performance and 120 fps.

- Fidelity Mode is fixed 2160p and 30 fps.
- Performance is 1440p and 60 fps.
- 120 fps mode is 1080p and 120 fps. This is John's favorite.

- None of these modes uses dynamic resolution scaling, to John's disappointment.

- Faster loading times. From almost 50 seconds to a couple of second, everything loads in an instant. In backwards compatibility mode you get faster loading times than It was on Pro, but they are still around 30 seconds.

-As for performance:
- Fidelity mode: John hasn't seen a single frame drop in this mode. He would like a 40 fps mode like the one we saw in Ratchet.
- Performance mode: the target is reached basically all the time, just a single frame drop here and there. Testing the secucuence that stressed PS4 Pro the most it runs at perfect 60 fps on PS5.
-120 fps mode: this is the one mode that shows actual drops, but most of the game runs without issue, most sequences are locked at 120 fps, but a handful of specific sequences do exhibit drops (Madagascar chase for instance).

- 3D Audio is supported and is pretty impressive.

- Dualsense is also supported but less exciting. It's good, just not a game changer.

Yeah, wish this released a lot sooner. I went looking into my storage of old gaming stuff to find the disc for Uncharted 4 and I had picked up Lost Legacy on sale a while ago. I thought I was all set to give these upgrades a try. But I've since changed my mind, I have too many games to play right now. Plus, Dying Light 2 releases next week and I won't miss out on that like I did for the first.

Speaking of new games. In my case I think Gamepass is inadvertently helping Sony. My HDD on XSX is filled with Gamepass games so now I'm leaning on my PS5 storage for new games. I wanted to get DL2 on XSX but now I'll get it on PS5 because of limited space. I could delete some games I'm not playing on Xbox but figured I don't have to when I have HDD space to spare on my PS5.

Totally understand, I'm playing like 7 games concurrently right now and feel like I'm getting nowhere in all of them.

I'm glad they made some changes to the lighting / contrast levels. After messing around in Zero Dawn a bit yesterday, the retrofitted HDR implementation in these early HDR games can really look wonky compared to what we're used to now. Adjusting some contrast and lighting should hopefully help make it look more up to date.

I'm actually shocked the 120 FPS mode is his favorite. I feel like I'd see a greater marginal difference in the resolution bump up to 1440 rather than the FPS jump to 120.

He seems to always lean this way, I'd love to hear sometime what his seating distance is from his display and the size of the display. DF seems to often state that certain resolution differences are unoticeable that I can very easily notice at the distance I sit. That said, I'll definitely check it out as I've always thought aiming in Naughty Dog games was strange.

It's digital foundry, they always go with the FPS.
