Unravel (why no love?)

Puns are knot funny.

Oh boy. Things are going to get wooly around here if you keep this up.

Some of these are so funny, I think I pulled a stitch.

Balls.

I played it through EA access and was going to buy it today but I decided to wait. The game is amazing, beautiful, and fun. The thing is EA access is going to be worthless to me if I keep buying them when I can play for free in six months. I'd love to support the developers on this one but money has been tighter as of late so I could only choose one game (gravity rush for ps4, which is also amazing). I do highly recommend it.

The game looks incredible. I still haven't gotten around to buying Ori and the Blind Forest though.

That's a great point, I feel the same. Now I had completely forgot it was on my EA Access so I think I'll DL it during the game tonight. Thanks for the heads up. :bang:

Yea its supposed to be like 10 hours of play time available. I wonder how big the game is, seems like it could be finished in that time frame. I heard its challenging though.

You can only play the first two levels. I was definitely impressed!

I put about 3 hours into the game tonight via EA Access and got to what I feel was near the end of the 2nd level and my little yarn boy got stuck. Not me, I was getting through the puzzles at a fair pace, neither too easy nor too frustrating. I may restart to my previous checkpoint (if possible, I may have to redo the whole level) since I was enthralled enough to want to finish. Very disappointing to run into a glitch in an otherwise engaging indie title.

Overall the the game is very pretty (but not mind-blowing), controls responsive enough for the action, and a great assortment of puzzles to figure out your traversal (though I didn't see more than 1 way to solve a puzzle). There are hidden items to find along the way which is about the only extra next to completing the level I have seen (no added powers, leveling up, time awards, multiplayer, etc, etc,...seems bare bones in extra stuff). Music is relaxing and fits theme. I guess I am on the fence about buying until I hear how long the game is and where game takes you on difficulty.

It is priced at $19.99 ($17.49 for EA Access members) which seems fair from what I've seen. Of course knowing it will likely be available in the EA Vault in a year gives me further hesitancy.

Played through the first level. Then had some fun swinging around the house.

Finished it, timer says 6hrs 10mins. Really tugs on the heart strings. Its really a beautifully woven world and there is a nice variety in the aesthetics. Puzzles are easy and mostly really obvious, though I can see a challenge going back and roping in all the collectables. There are some sections that have a small window for success but only once or twice did I have to retry several times and the checkpoints are generous, so I never felt strung out.

I've played through 4 levels. This game really is something else and everything I wanted from the moment of the reveal. EA, if you're reading this, I'll pay anything for a soundtrack. Make it happen damn it. Until then:

Just finishedt e game. Amazing game. Absolutely beautiful art direction and soundtrack. Probably play it again and try to find all of the secrets.

Glad to see the good impressions. Might get it this week now that the valentine's day festivities are over.
