Valves Steam Deck

Going to pick one up in the next few months.

Will use it primarily for emulation up to the PS2 era plus PSP and Vita. Will also stream Xbox and Playstation through their respective services.

I'm a broken record at this point, but it's been such a good experience for me. The seamless connectivity to my account is great, and it's allowed me to play some games that have had issues running on my PC as of late. I also discovered the Steam Deck's built-in mic for the first time. It also worked great with a headset I just plugged in while playing Phasmophobia with friends. Of course, you can't beat the access to the already existing library.

Interesting article. It all makes sense when you realize how open the hardware and software actually is. Apparently it's cheaper than similar modules that would normally be used in these situations.

Low key I was waiting for Valve to abandon this like they do with all their hardware projects. Still kinda want one but a new cpu and gpu for my main rig are more pressing.

It goes on sale this afternoon if anyone is interested.
