Venom is trending badly. Saw Catwoman trending on Twitter along with Venom, but only to compare how bad Venom was.
Yeah it's a Sony picture but the character belongs to Marvel.Didn't know it was a Sony superhero movie. I'll still see it.

Venom is under Spiderman like how Dr. Doom is under Fantastic Four.
Fantastic Four belongs to Marvel but under Fox Pictures, which is now under Disney after the buy out.
Xmen is also under Fox also dead pool because he is an Xmen character.
Apparently Sony actually owns part of the Spider-Man character all together not just the movie rights and I guess that extends to all of the characters in the Spider-Man universe since sony is also working on Kraven and Morbius movies as well. Entertainment news Youtuber Grace Randolph who has written comics and has connections in the industry has said that she has been told (by someone at Marvel) that Sony actually owns some portion of Spider-Man.
They only have it for the movie rights. If they were to sell toys and shirts, that money goes to Disney 100%

If you're talking about anything that is in the spiderman universe, yes you are correct. Again that is far as it goes.I thought the same but it seems that they do also own a portion of the character as well, doesn't mean that Disney doesn't control all of that other stuff but Sony may indeed still own a portion of it.

Correct, it is more of a loan. Long as spiderman is putting out movies SONY will hold the rights for filming. Just to let you know even the spiderman game Disney gets a cut from that.Sony may have the rights to certain entertainment uses but i'm pretty sure that part of the reason that the Andrew Garfield Spiderman movies happened because if they go too long without using the license it reverts back to marvel. So they have control of aspects but I wouldn't say they have any ownership of the character.

Yes Sony has hands all over Spiderman.Again I thought that too but it's been going around that Sony actually owns part of the character all together and it's not just related strictly to movie rights. We'll never know the truth unless Marvel or Sony come out and say it.
