We are finding out more about the many features of the multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare as we get closer to launch, and today we have some information on the number of maps on disc, how loot works in prestige, Seasons mode and more.

Michael Condrey of Sledgehammer Games, developers of Advanced Warfare, has been answering some fan questions on Twitter and we’ve got a lot of new information from it.

Condrey confirmed that Advanced Warfare will ship with 14 maps on disc, the number includes Atlas Gorge, a remake of Pipeline from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The map will be free for season pass holders and will come with any of the game’s Limited or Atlas editions.

Advanced Warfare will also have a mode similar to Black Ops 2′s League Play, for the competitive among us. Similar to League Play, each season will last one month, and you’ll be getting a special piece of loot at the end of each season, determined by your performance during it.

Any gear you acquire from Supply Drops will carry over throughout your Prestige levels, you will however still need to unlock the base weapon and attachments through regular progression.

Advanced Warfare is out November 4 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Tweets, 1, 2, 3, 4. Thanks, MP1st.

Plus, more insights on Supply Drops.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will ship with 13 multiplayer maps at launch, plus a map that's exclusive to the game's Limited or Atlas editions and Season Pass holders - Atlas Gorge, a remake of classic Call of Duty map Pipeline. Sledgehammer's Michael Condrey confirmed the figure as part of a gentle dusting of details via Twitter, kindly passed on by MP1st.

14 maps is nice. However, if it does not have full on dedicated server support then I am out. None of this crappy hybrid stuff.

I never had any issues with servers in COD Ghosts...never a single host migration either. If it's like Ghosts, I am good to go.

I'm with you here , the numerous Host migrations and lost games due to host dashboarding in BO2 was so F'ing frustrating I quit playing it for that reason alone.

It's another lie, Cod ghosts did have host migration... And infinity ward are liars saying dedicated servers

Dedicated Servers aren't going to fix anything. There are going to be people on the other team who are still connected to the dedicated server better than you are, and you will still get bulls***ted.

Oh, it's going to suck. I await the rage on the internet on day zero. Lol. Ill be one of them too.

Read my comment again. I said "I never had a single host migration". I never claimed they DIDN'T have host migration.

Dedicated Servers aren't going to fix anything. There are going to be people on the other team who are still connected to the dedicated server better than you are, and you will still get bulls***ted.

So essentially, that is how online gaming is, anywhere, any place on any platform in the world.

Every year I say I'm going to pass on COD and every year I cave in and buy it. With the Halo collection coming out, I think this is really the year I skip COD.

That is true, but it fixes 90% of the bulls***.

You have to pay more money to get all the maps day 1?

it is kind of bulls*** to segregate the community like that from the very start. games should really look to stop doing that to make for a healthier and prolonged online community, and then they could use those benefits to sell aesthetic items or whatever to make their money that way.

though i'm assume they have considered such avenues and have concluded that there is more money in the map pack strategy -_-
