Super Smash Bros. for 3DS has sold over 2.8 million copies worldwide, Nintendo has announced.



In a press release sent today, the Japanese firm announced that sales numbers for the 3DS fighter has surpassed 2.8 million copies worldwide, following the western launch last week. Nintendo had previously announced that the game sold over 1 million units in its release weekend in Japan.

The first wave of amiibo figures, will be out starting November 28. 12 figures will be the first to hit store shelves and they’re Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Pikachu, Kirby and Marth.

The second amiibo wave will be out Devember 19 and will include Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit and Captain Falcon.

The Wii U version of Super Smash Bro. has also been dated today.

Sounds pretty good. No surprise to me though. Smash will always sell.
