Can You Trust Journalists

Tom Henderson is the source lol.

How would a Xbox insider know.

If it's true though, probably because of the whole Activision debacle so perhaps treading lightly ? 🤔
So you're saying the guy that you claim shills for Xbox wouldn't really know, therefore he is...shilling for Playstation. Interesting.

Perhaps he's damage controlling for PlayStation to show maybe he is not biased for Xbox but he is ? 🧐

That's how you get a ton of youtube views, just title your video "My concerns" or "I'm worried" etc.
I’m gonna start every new title with those, only I’ll remake “my” and “I’m” with your tag instead ;) followed by “news at eleven”

That media bias... Oh wait.

But wonder if this still holds true 😆

Articles like this without seeing any gameplay are why I lean to a bias against MS. I can't recall or find any mainstream videogame outlets that were critical of Guerrlia games pivot to Horizon after being synonymous with 1st person shooters.
All we have is this 60 second trailer, and know nothing else. Why is the media trying to report on anything other than that is beyond me.

The comparison doesn't really make sense since the article isn't criticizing Playground at all. Just the opposite in fact.

Actually the real problem with he article is the claim that its crucial to the future of Xbox. That is ludicrous.

They are negative towards Fable 4, as they don't believe it will have the magic that made Fable, Fable. They are concerned that it will only be Fable in name. Sure, they praised Playground Games, the team, and the second team that they hired a lot of qualified personal for the RPG. That was apparent.

They believe, that without Lionhead and Peter, it won't be 'Fable'.

But it was less about Xbox at the end and more about Fable possibly not being Fable.

But without Molyneux, without the old team, without the push & pull, the conflict, and the drop of unhinged madness that the old games were infused with, it’s hard not listen to that nagging, gnawing sense that, no matter how good the new Fable is, it might be Fable in name only.

Having said that, as long as you can still kick chickens, it’ll probably be Fable enough for most.

Really? All that from a one minute trailer?

I mentally picture this new Fable akin to God of War 3 changing to God of War 2018. It's still God of War...and not just in name. It is a reimagining of the gameplay.

I don't think it has anything to do with the trailer. Its simply this persons belief that only Lionhead/Molyneux could make it feel like Fable.

Given that there is only 1 good Fable that is a sacrifice that I would be fine with.

All the Fables are good, granted, they got less good, but good games none the less. I definitely agree what made the Fable series memorable was that it had a sense of humor and style unique from other RPGs. Would definitely be a loss to the game's identity if it lacks that feeling.

MS have already confirmed Sony and Square Enix have it blocked along with others like Silent Hill.

Sony made the better offer as per this article.

Hard to see Square turn down Xbox's if it was also really good.

'While Sony has had a longstanding relationship with Square Enix for years, so much so that people wonder if Sony may try to acquire them in this age of consolidation, Square Enix claims they offered Final Fantasy XVI to other platforms too (Xbox), but it was about getting the best “offer.” '

As Wolf said. Sony AND Square have it blocked, as per the article:

"In this case, Square Enix liked PlayStation’s offer best"

More than likely, Sony required it to be exclusive with their offer, because as stated in the article:

"Yoshida says CBUIII wants as many people worldwide to play the game as possible."

If Square is keeping it exclusive of their own accord they are the only major developer taking this approach. Capcom did this with SFV and immediately regretted it. Seems highly unlikely unless they are basically being paid for exclusivity.

They take the effort to bring Crisis Core to the Xbox, but FFVII and FFXVI won't sell? Please.

Spencer just said Sony uses the money it makes off Xbox games on PS to block other games from Xbox. Sony's dirty dealings are coming out and showing why they didn't want this to go to court.
Jim Ryan could fly around the world to try and block the deal but not the actual court case.
