Westworld - Cancelled, Maybe Not

I don't watch it anymore. How is it these days?

Looks good.

These days, decent. Season 3 has some issues, but still very enjoyable IMO. I do agree with The Wolf King, though, season 1 is still the best.

S3 lost its way a bit in the last 2 episodes. They also need to turn down the music as it can be hard to hear what's being said at times.

I've always felt they should have saved all the bots going nuts till S2

One of the shows best episodes and great choice of music at the end which had a real Season 1 ending feel to it.

Season 1
Season 4
Season 2
Season 3

For me.

This season is The Matrix meets Inception.

Now hurry up and confirm S5.

Sucks but not really surprising. Each season costs around $100m and the ratings took a big drop after S2.

All cast members will still be paid for S5.

Last month, co-creator Jonathan Nolan said in an interview that he hoped HBO would give the series a fifth season to wrap up the show's ambitious story. "We always planned for a fifth and final season," Nolan said. "We are still in conversations with the network. We very much hope to make them." Co-creator Lisa Joy likewise reiterated the series has always been working towards a specific ending: "Jonah and I have always had an ending in mind that we hope to reach. We have not quite reached it yet."

WTF why pull it off the service I still wanted to watch Season 2 on only seen the first season.

Zaslav hates you?

I think they're trying get people to subscribe to HBO cable and MAX. I don't think it's going to work out like they think.

Westworld season 5 receives a hopeful response from co-creator Jonathan Nolan two years after the show's cancellation. Based on the 1973 film of the same name, which was written and directed by Michael Crichton, Westworld was created for television by Nolan and Lisa Joy. The cerebral sci-fi series ran for four seasons with a fifth and final season planned before HBO unceremoniously canceled it in 2022. However, the creators and much of the cast have remained hopeful that season 5 will still happen.
Two years after its cancellation, Nolan shared a hopeful response to the prospects of Westworld season 5. During a recent interview with The Wrap, the co-creator said he is "still hoping" they get the chance to finish the story with one more season, as originally planned. Asked if he would want to work with HBO again or another interested party on a potential fifth season, Nolan said it’s "too early to say." Read his full comments below:
Our philosophy from the beginning was you make sure each installment, each chapter should be somewhat complete, tell a good story and then you get a chance to keep going. But Lisa and I did have an architecture for the series and I’m big on getting a chance to finish these things. I think our hope is still somewhere down the line [for] a chance to revisit that story, and I would hate to have spoiled it now if we get a chance to do so.
