I was just in Target today and My Daughter fell in love with the new Super Mario 3d, so I'm going to buy it.

For those that don't know I bought a PS4 and sold it, bought an Xbox One and now I'm going to sell it so I can buy a Wii U plus some games. Target this week until the 12th of April has a great deal that if you buy a Wii U , you get a $50 gift card + there is also the sale buy 2 video games get 1 free.

So as of now I'm thinking I will buy the Wii U which comes with Super Mario and Luigi, then get Super Mario 3D + Legend Of Zelda. Now I'm not sure what my 3rd game should be? I also own a PS3 so I might get a title for that but really not sure and looking for some help here.

Generally I'm more into adult gaming, but spending time with my wife and daughter playing games is a good compromise just to be happy + when I was younger (34 now) I loved the Mario Games.

Thanks in advance, I must really say I'm quite impressed with the Wii U and I have no problems whatsoever of me getting rid of my Xbox One as I'm just tired and really want a change in gaming,

Thanks

Me and my daughter love the Wii U, lots of classics on the virtual console as well.

Thanks, have you played the new Donkey Kong Game, how's that if so?

Most of the Nintendo exclusives are great, but ZombiU and Wonderful 101 are both fantastic also. I suggest checking those out!

I wish they would start bringing over some of the best Wii ware games.

I know you can go to the Wii menu and all that. But it would be more convenient to play with wii u pad or pro controller.

I concur about the Wonderful 101, really rather than Pikmin try that one first, I think it is still on sale on the Nintendo E-Shop. Basically it is a rocket ride of pop culture references, quite a good story line and bright colours. From Space Harrier (Platinum Robo Scenes from Space) until Tokatsu movies, From Anime until Games like Viewpoint... it's all there :).

It's like Punch Out, Space Harrier, Viewport, Megaman, Pikmin, Viewtiful Joe, Godzilla, Power Rangers, Zatoichi, Nemesis/Gradius, Bright colours, Silly Humour, Fantastic Music and a whole lot of other great things had a love child and it was so good that even the heavens above had to create a second Sabbath just to play it.

I overstate things? True, but it really is a great game. Difficult maybe. But you'll love it!

YOu aren't alone, this was also my main reason of not getting a PS3, regretting my 360 and now not getting either Sony or MS her console. Their fanboys are just mental! The consoles are brawn over fun! And the games seem mostly to please shooter fans or other popularity contests like MOBA games or the F2P crowd. It just doesn't appeal to me any more, maybe it is my age, I don't know... it just seems off.

I bought the first Xbox second hand and was pleasantly surprised. I mean Midtown Madness 3... BRILLIANT! Crimson Skies High Road to Revenge, Exuberating! Rally Sport Challenge, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, PGR 2's Multiplayer (even though I hated paying for live) all brilliant. I simply didn't feel it that much with the 360 which I bought on launch. Sure the first year or so was fun, but than it became a shooterbox for the Bro Gamers, when Kinect came around that peripheral got alot of the blame for this "fiasco" when really atleast Kinect offered me some new kind of gameplay on that system.

So this generation, I really also feel that the Wii U is the way to go. After the Gamecube and Wii it is my third Nintendo Console bought on launch and I'm loving it. That said, if MS announced they would spin off Xbox into a separate holding, owning 51% and SEGA owning the other 49% with SEGA branded XbOne's coming out?...... Than I suppose this old SEGA fanboy will have to buy one. But that is about the only way I would.

I often had some thought about the matter of online payment plans for Nintendo that did not force you to pay for on line. But a monthly charge to allow you to play all of the games of the VC would be something I would really be interested in. Imagine paying a tenner or two and just logging in to download and play Every Megadrive, SNES, PC Engine, Master System or NES title they have on there ;).

It would be about the only payment scheme I would really find "Okay, I'll pay for this...". As live and PS Plus just don't do it for me. I love how I just can stop worrying about online play and like on PC I can just play multiplayer without having to worry about payments :).

Edit:EEk Sorry Hijacked the topic, I'll make a new one about this and not hijack it further. Sorry OP. Please don't reply to this hijack :).

Donkey Kong Country is fun but can get hard I suppose. Pikmin 3 is pretty fun as well. Don't have any other games that you don't already have listed but Mario Kart should be a blast.

In my limited experience, I'd say Rayman Legends should be somewhere in your top trajectories. Felt ZombiU was a bit over rated for what I played, but it was cool none the less.

30+ Days later and The Family and I are still enjoying the New Super Mario 3D. We are on the last world I believe and have had a BLAST playing this game for the past month. We usually only play a couple of hrs each day, but I feel taking your time like this and enjoying a game is the best way to experience it.

My 5 year old Daughter loves playing as Peach and My Wife and I will play as TOAD and LUIGI. It's actually pretty difficult to get all Green Starts on certain stages, but it also makes it fun. We are almost finished and will be buying Mario Kart Racing next. The Last Nintendo system I personally owned was the N64 I believe and man I forgot how great Nintendo Games really are. I also like playing on other consoles, but need this break.

Can't wait to play Mario Kart as well. I'm obviously a casual gamer now as most of my time is spent working, but when I can find time to play it's great to do it with your family/friends
Thanks People

I am still playing The Wonderful 101 (unlocked secrets, secrets, secrets!) and just started my Wind Waker HD playthrough. Fantastic games.

Funny thing though, when I got my Wii U, the first thing I did was hunt down some great Wii games. The Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Metroid the Other M (Which I enjoyed).

Don't forget your Wii library!!
