Not much, watched Weapons in theatres with some friends yesterday and Played some board games IRL. Played some bf6 beta. Then premier on CS2. Need to get 25 wins to get a medal 🏅 .

I returned to the first descendant as they just started a 3rd season to give it anither shot after quitting in Jan. I thought if I dislike itm I will returned to WOW.
Dman, now I am hooked again,

2B or Not to 2B- Shakespeare

I even spend 65€ or so buying the Nier Automata skins. For MTX, it is quite good price as it has like different skins and a couple of hairstyles, and work with all the female characters.

I can't stop playing Diablo 4. I've literally taken 4 characters to max level this season, finally just acquired the last mythic I was working on for my new character. Doing a little bit of work to try to fine tune the masterworking on it, but I may finally be finishing up my time with this season.

Haven't even played a second worth of the new Robocop standalone that I preordered, may finally get a chance to fire it up.

I've been all over the map this weekend.

Cracked open Assassin's Creed: Shadows (PC). It is very much a technical showcase game. Up there with Horizon Forbidden West and Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC. Absolutely stunning.

Played Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky 1st chapter Demo on PC. It's a great PC port. A step way above the PS5 version surprisingly but given who's handling the port maybe not. This is also a GREAT example of how to do a remake. No shade to FF7 Remake and Rebirth, cause I will be playing the final game in that series, but sometimes less is more.

Played Legend of Heroes Trails into Reverie (PC). I wish these games made their way to xbox so xbox only players could experience this jrpg series. But with the intricate plot and overarching story lines, its hard to recommend to someone who hasn't started the series at the beginning. And as the main series has 12+ games in it, I'd say its not happening for xbros.

Played Tempest Rising (PC). Its a spiritual successor to the old command and conquer games. LOVE IT.

Played Spider man 2 (PC). It more spiderman. Don't know what was so controversial about it.

Played and got frustrated with Yes, Your Grace Snowfall (PC). Good game but far too many game breaking bugs.

Played Star Ocean,The second story R (PC). Another great example of how to do a remake for modern times. Would be nice if Square remembered it has Chrono Trigger and give it the 2D-HD remake treatment.

I'm in one of those gaming funks. My backlog is filled with stuff, especially on PC. I play something for 20 minutes and set it down.

Started Hogwarts Legacy, really like it, but just am not playing it a lot.
Been messing around with Civ 7, but keep starting and restarting.
My Steam library is filled with games I haven't touched.
Started Borderlands 3 (never played it) and same thing, just not pulling me in.

I think the Battlefield 6 beta broke me. I want to play that.

I’m with you. Maybe for me now being in my 50s I’m getting worn out a bit?

I'm 55 now and I'm still able to complete titles. However, the shorter the game they better. My tolerance for playing super late in the evening is very low. I'm much more focused and can play a bit longer in the morning. However, those opportunities don't lend themselves because of work and other responsibilities.

Yup same. I’m looking for shorter campaigns now. Just spent 4 hours completing Sword of the Sea. I’m good with that.

Fatigue and stress is definitely part of it. I'm too tired after work for anything involved (I want to play Civilization, but a deep strategy game is just off the table). I then pick something mindless, but that gets boring. I want to play games, just not any of the games I have right now.

Yeah, late night weekends used to be my gaming time. Now early mornings are my thing.

It really takes multiplayer stuff off the table. Nobody wants to play at 7:15 on a Sunday.

I find myself liking shorter single player stuff for sure.

I’ve had an eye on the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora for awhile. With Avatar 3 coming soon figured might as well at $17 digitally on MS Store. Had a $10 rewards. This games world/graphics are amazing. Has to be one of the best looking open worlds I’ve seen. Will keep me busy for a while.

I might have found my game to break out of my funk. I had Door Kickers 2 in my library off some sale and finally tried it (PC only unfortunately). A top down tactical game where you control a small squad. It is sort of real time, but you can pause and map out moves anytime as well. Think Xcom and the old Rainbow Six games merged. You can have "go codes" to coordinate teams going in, but you don't control anyone specifically. It is fun but hard. You have to watch every window and door and possible angle, even the best plans sometimes lead to half your squad getting mowed down.

It is easy to pick up, but very hard to master.

Kinda sounds like Full Spectrum Warrior from back in the day.

The first game is awesome, never cared for the sequel, felt like an unhandely, rainbow six version of Hotline Miami.

Exactly. Many older folks want shorter games. 10-15 hours games costing like 40 bucks is WIN/WN (gamers/Developers)

Also this trend of a game is good only if its soul-like need to die. Many people just want to chill. We are okay with some challenged, but like iRL, we do not want to be challenged all the time.

Yeah and it was fantastic

Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers

I never knew a sequel existed, must’ve missed that back in the day.

I remember the OG game having a really cool online co-op. Each player would give orders to their squad. I played through all of it with a friend.

So I played a bit more of Assassin's Creed shadows and its got its hooks in me. It borrows alot from Ghost of tsushima which in turn borrowed alot from previous Assassin's creed games. Story wise, it seems like a retread of both Assassin's creed Origins and Vahalla. Standard revenge/ redemption stuff. Combat is simple yet satisfying. Nowoe plays like a weaker Jin Sakai from Tsushima whereas Yaskae is more Cassandra or Eivor from Assasin's Creed. FF Rebirth still has the best combat for an open world game for me right now.

Graphics wise, its amazing. Again up their with Horizon Forbidden West and RDR 2 on PC as showcase games.

I partially agree with you. I'm willing to pay $60 for a 10-15 game if it is a quality experience.

I hate souls-like and how it has seemly taken over the rpg/action adventure genre. So many game IMO would be better off without the soul like mechanics. You can demonstrate skill without a stamina bar and constant parrying. Ninja Gaiden 2 showed that back in 2008.

The Full Spectrum Warrior and Brothers in Arms games were pretty awesome back in the day!

Crazy that was 20 years ago...

Crazy how BiA was just dropped. The last game was teasing snow environments only for them to announce an Inglorious Bastards style spinoff that died after the negative reaction to the reveal.

I am in agreement that game pricing should also be base on quality, like other products.
