A bunch of games on sale right now on MS store I’ve had on my wish list for awhile.

I got Rogue Legacy 2 for $13. Played it some late last night. So far it seems like it is better in every way from the original. I like the art style of the game too.

Also got Grim Dawn: Definitive Edition for $20. Have heard so many good things about this game if you’re a fan of Diablo, Torchlight, and Path of Exiles. Looking forward to checking it out when I have time.

Grim Dawn will keep you busy. Great game.

Grim dawn is a sweet little arpg gem.
I started it yesterday evening played it a couple hours. Man I should’ve bought this game a long time ago. As an ARPG fan this game is pretty awesome so far. I’m going to sink a ton of hours into this for years to come. I’m really digging the world and exploration.

Played a bit of Peak with friends and the wife on PC. Pretty fun for a couple of hours but it's surprisingly hard in some areas.

Played some more CS2 Premier, competitive and casual matches. Trying to grind for that Premier season 3 badge - the more wins you get the more your badge will look different.

NBA 2K 25 on the PS5 pro. Really should work on my backlog but been lazy these days.

you can also look forward to Titanquest 2, which is in early accecss (EA) now. I played the EA, and its pretty fun, with great potiential.

Finallly got into Elden Ring. Yes I am late to the party but loving it!! Started playing some Bloodborne recently, then that got me into Sekiro and Demons Souls remake. I wasn’t a massive fan of souls games, but after I played a load of Bloodbourne I started to ‘get it’. Went back to Sekiro which I haven’t played for months, and beat 3 bosses in one night, I couldn’t get past one of them before, but started to get into the whole souls mentality, working out enemy patterns, don’t be gung ho and playing it more strategically.

Only level 40 at the moment but really enjoying it, and actually think it’s more forgiving than other From Software titles. Not saying it’s easy by any means, but at least you don’t have to bloody repair all the time, a generous amount of spawn/save points and your flasks refill after a successful battle. All in all, fantastic game 😊

Also as it was on gamepass, I started playing a little Hollow Knight. Only played a couple hours but not sure if I will continue. It looks nice and I really like Metroidvania style games but it’s not grabbing me yet. And does anyone else find the gameplay mechanics, mainly jumping, a little off and unresponsive. It doesn’t feel ‘tight’.

For me a game should hit you hard from the start and make you wanna play more. I understand some games get better as you go on, but I like games that start off solid then get even better as you progress.

I actually love PlayStation Plus and Gamepass for this reason. I can try a game for a few hours, and if I ain’t digging it, delete. Got fibre broadband now (woohoo 900mbps) so can download a large game in around 10-15 mins as opposed to 8-10 hours before 😳, so much easier to try new games.

Also been playing some Deadlock on PC. Fun shooter. Might jump online this weekend.

HK is GOATed. But it has heavy Souls DNA and thus isn’t for everyone. It can be esoteric and especially at the start it is aimless.

But honestly do you feel it handles well! The jump mechanics aren’t great! It feels clunky to me! It looks great but the jumping system has put me off.
I think I had your reaction for the first hour maybe. But after a bit, no, I felt its platforming was extremely satisfying and handled very well. Maybe get some movement abilities and see if your opinion changes. If not, it may just not be for you.

I thought the movement was fine in the first HK. My problem was some enemies hitting for a ton and you don’t have much room for error. Then you have to work your way back to where you were if you die. It got frustrating.

Played quite a bit of Diablo 4, having a great time with the new season.
What class/build are ypu playing?

I am currently playing the sorc (cracking eneregy build), but then started a Spiritborn because of the Starcraft Keriggan armor.

Moonlighter 2 is coming out too. I think it's full release. If so, on my list.

I did the ball lightning / crackling energy build first, been playing a "Shred" Druid as a second build, which is really fun on controller (primarily 2 buttons).
