What are you playing this weekend?

I hope to finish God of War Ragnarok this weekend. I was going to last night, but got sidetracked. Then I think maybe finish up Days Gone, and possibly start Witcher 3.

Infamous Second Son just feels too outdated at this point. Generic area clearing. Lack of variety. Terrible parkour system. Extremely basic story plot. All make it get boring pretty quick. Done with this.

I platinumed the game way back when it launched. Was fun for its time for me and definitely a looker.

Same, I loved it when it released. I remember I tried to go back and check out the DLC on the PS4 Pro (I think it got a Pro update as well, maybe I'm mis-remembering), but I felt the same way as Menace when I went back to it. It's weird how quick some games can go from being the best looking game you've ever seen to looking and feeling crazy outdated inside of the same generation.

Addicted to Witcher 3, but I need to get back to Callisto Protocol so I can complete my 2022 goal of actually finishing a new game.

Just beat Mass Effect 1 from the LE from PS+. Gameplay is a bit outdated but still gave me that epic feeling during the last battle.

Going to start the second soon.

I forgot I bought (and never played) Steelrising. The game just seemed dated and controls seemed clunky as soon as I started playing this weekend. I gave up. Not sure if I should give it more time starseeker ?

I might just do Days Gone now, assuming my save it still there from when I bought it when it was released.

Gonna give Marvel Snap a try-a-roonie, continue to play some xmas themed games, and maybe squeeze in some Valheim with friends. I really want to get back to Castlevania though.

FF7 Remake I started a few days ago. No have tried a couple times over the years to play through the original but just couldn't do it. I think I made it like half way through but the old school combat I just can't do anymore. FF7R on the other hand I am loving.

High on Life this weekend for me. Might try to also beat the final boss again in Kena Bridge of Spirits. I need to get through this backlog. 2023 new games on Xbox look packed so I need to start now.

Trying to force my way through Halo Infinite so I can delete it. I'm on the 11th campaign mission I think. Master Chef is mean to the little lady and sucks really bad. Also swapping between Horizon and AC Valhalla.

Was wandering in VRChat and found a Transformers avatar world that was insane high quality.

I think the Avatar models they had were ripped straight out of War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron and tweaked to function as VR Avatars moving the heads and arms ( don't know if Full Body works I don't have it yet ). Also, they all have the vehicle game quality transformation animations and you just move them around like walking and the Jets you just push Jump the make them hover up, they don't quite move like in the game but that's fine. They all had guns and melee weapons to. They also had a Grimlock that could breath fire. Some vehicle weapons fire and some don't.

I've always been a Transformers fan and I also played the hell out of these games on Multiplayer, so this was surreal AF nostalgia to fill my Avatar favorites with these. This is also a cool as hell way to have some flight ability in VRChat world just turning into a Jet or Ship.

They also had a Michael Bay style Optimus that might be from a newer game.

Shinobi III - on Sega Mega Drive mini
What a masterpiece this game is. All these retro youtube minions talking about how great the first two are and rarely mention this sequel is strange, it's so much better that the earlier games look mediocre.

Also;
RDR2 - XSX bc XoneX version
Finished this at release but just wanted to flee this dark, cold weather and experience the beautiful amerikan landscape.
Game looks insane, the draw distance is better than... pretty much everything else on these new consoles lol

How are you getting through these long games so fast, playing on story mode like Kvally ?

For me, probably some Ragnarok or Vampire Survivors.
Fast? I wish. GOT has 25 hours put in. If I put it on story I'd be nowhere near finished as I would have been Sleeping for the majority of the session.

I put about 70 hours into GOT and burnt myself out a bit, when I came back to play ages later I just kept getting my ass kicked by end game enemies, really need to finish this too. Felt the side stories dragged on even if they were well written.

Getting towards the end of Last of Us 2 (after just finishing 1 lol). I have to commit to finishing off some of this SP backlog. The HBO show coming out forced me to get going. I love the games, I just seem to drag getting through them for some reason.

Finished last of us remastered, pretty depressing game but enjoyed the story and gameplay, looking for a cheap copy of part 2 now.

Alternating between RDR2 and Sherlock Holmes chapter one with some vampire survivors runs.

Sony seems to be really stingy on the sales lately. I'm nearly done with Last of Us pt 2 and it is great.
