What are you playing this weekend?

Swordsman VR

It's basic and the melee fighting is kind of chaotic, but it can be oddly satisfying especially if you get a quick win chopping off an arm lol. Sometimes even work up a sweat while playing.

Also, decided to try a cheat mode that let me trigger Slow Motion at will; felt like I was Medieval Max Payne. I think this is good to mess with seeing how the oppenents react or think of combo attack like pushing with the shield and going for an elbow chop.

Decided I'm going to checkout Blade & Sorcery next.

Those videos I see of blade and sorcery look so cool, makes me want to get a VR

I once tried a game called Wizards and it failed to hold my interest and I was kind of dismissive of games like this, but also reconsidered after randomly seeing some gameplay videos. Swordsman is a lot more fun than I expected.

I bought Blade and Sorcery but ran out of time before work to try it.

Cyberpunk on PC and Iris Fall on XSX. Iris Fall isn't a bad Games For Gold game.

Trying to clear up space on my Series X hard drives seeing which games I downloaded and haven't played yet that are worth keeping.

Gears 5 isn't one of them.

We are moving into a bigger place 😬

(Hopefully that gives me the excuse to upgrade to a bigger TV 😅)

I play a bit of spirit of the north indie game where you play as a fox.

Otherwise I spent most of last 2 weeks improve my home that was neglected for a while. New TV, new sound system( I used tv speaker last 10 years) , improve home office, living room.

Next will be kitchen and main bedroom, and bathroom.

Not much time left for gaming.

Is that the FF7 Intergrade? Is this one turn based combat?
Yea it is the Intergrade one included with PS+. Not sure if you played FF15 but it plays more like that where you have control over the characters to move around in combat. It is turn based in the way that you have to fill attack bars to use abilities or spells. But it's not like the old school JRPG.

Dragon age inquisition is how I will describe FF7 combat. You can pause and input an action for any member and they will execute “on active” and you can gain full control of any member at one time.

There is limited dodge and evade and once you input an attack, it execute on active.

Best is to just watch a YouTube on the combat you see for yourself.

Finally played Blade and Sorcery.

Didn't really do a campaign but an absurd amount of Sandbox / Arena type stuff playing with the combos of magic and weapons and how many different ways to kill people lol.

and maybe addicted to casting super fireball

I didn't mind DA:Inquisition combat. So that is promising.

55" is not big enough? What are you looking for?
Like anything, you get used to it. I remember getting my first 55" TV and it seemed huge, nowadays not so much.

My next TV will like be a laser TV/projector, though.
