Nice list Mr. Mangoes, your tastes in games largely mirrors my own. I'm not sure about Scarlet Nexus though, I liked the combat system but was a little disappointed in the overall presentation found in the demo, backgrounds looked low res in some areas. I think FF7 Remake's really high production assets has spoiled me. I've never played a game in the long running "Tales" series but after watching some gameplay for Arise its firmly on my radar.

Its a little difficult for me to plan out my gaming purchases because of my backlog. Also, the steady release of Gamepass games adds another wrinkle into it. I know that having too many games to play is a good problem to have. Its become even harder for me to complete one game before starting to covet another.

FF7 Remake definitely set the bar high.

Scarlet Nexus's gameplay seems fun-ish so I think if reviews are good, I'm in.

I've played Tales of Vesperia on the 360 and Tales of Berseria on the PS3 and they've been really enjoyable from what I remember so this new one is looking about the same.

GamePass sure makes it easier for you to not have to buy those titles you're interested in, that's for sure haha.

A headset - Either the Official MS headset, or the Razr Kaira, or maybe the Arctis 7x.
Controller - Likely the Razr Wolverine V2.

Games - Battlefield 2042, Riders Republic, likely FIFA 22. (Plus playing a bunch of stuff on Gamepass)

At the moment I’m probably only going to buy BF 2042, all the others will be gamepass. I’ve still yet to play Cyberpunk which I bought at launch but I’m happy for them to take their time with the next generation patch now that the rest of 2021 is packed for me.

Lucky me, I do not need to spend much as most are on gamepass. Thanks MS

I plan on buying Mario Golf, Diablo 2, and Battlefield. Waiting to see what the new Call Of Duty is going to be before I decide. I’ll also be checking out a bunch of games on Game Pass.

I’m not sure which system I’ll get it on yet. Leaning XSX for better performance and online with friends, but being able to play it in handheld on Switch would be nice as well.

I bought regular Greedfall for like $10 but haven't played it yet. Hoping either free upgrade to next gen for current users or a discount on Gold, but haven't seen anything on this and pretty sure it's out in the next week or so. I enjoyed their last two games. Not bad AA games.

It's a free upgrade on the 30th. I'm buying this one from work so it will cost me as much as the regular edition with the extra content

There was a PS+ edition of Greedfall that I added to my library. Wonder if I'm eligible for the free upgrade 🤔

Hard to say. My guaranteed day ones at the moment are:

Diablo 2 Resurrected
Battlefield 2042
Horizon Forbidden West (though I wouldn't be shocked if it ends up delayed)

Everything else will be on Gamepass or I'm not entirely sure of.

I already own FS as well, but haven't been able to play it because of my POS PC. So I finally get to download and play it on my XSX.

Kena is coming to Xbox at a later date, so I will wait :) But I want it!

On Xbox non-gamepass games:

Scarlett Nexus
SCARLET-NEXUS

Scarlett nexus might be it for a while on xbox as Gamepass has me thoroughly covered.

PS5:

Final Fantasy Remake

Final-Fantasy-VII-Remake-Intergrade

Since its not coming to PC anytime soon, I'll pick this up on the 1st price drop

Horizon Forbidden West

Loved the 1st game so if its more of the same, I'm good.

Switch:

Crazy how many of the games I'm looking forward to the most are coming to Game Pass, so I'm not "officially" buying them.

Halo
Forza Horizon
Flight Simulator
The Ascent
Back 4 Blood
Shredders
whatever that fishing game is that was shown in the indie showcase earlier this year (Edit: Moonglow Bay)
Honestly because of PS5 being my primary and having a PC, it's hard to justify buying a Series X in the future when all of their exclusives will be on GamePass anyways. The only downside is my GPU is like 5 years old and having to buy one that could run 4K games would cost more than a Series X anyways lol.

One of the cool things about MSFT's approach to PC/Xbox gaming is they are presenting gamers with the choice. You can either play on the Xbox series of consoles or if you have a capable PC you can game on that platform. MSFT is cool with either of those choices since they make bank from both.

I was looking at getting a gaming PC but the need for hardware upgrades and compatibility issues with patches for different games for different GPUs, the promise of cheaper games on that platform was not enough to sway me. To me it felt like I really wouldn't be saving much by gaming on PC but will be met with stress and aggravation when it comes to the things I mentioned above. With a console its simple plug-in & play so that's where I'll remain.

Could I technically build a PC and connect it to my TV, but use an Xbox controller (no mouse/keyboard), and have it in the Xbox UI all the time? Even put it in sleep mode? I wouldn't want to do any computing with it. No Steam either.

I've always been someone that changes their mind practically year to year. Right now I only have a PS5 so I'm a huge Sony fanboy, but there's a chance when I get a Series X that will change. Same thing when I build a new PC I'll just spend all my time on there. Not a very good use of money perhaps...

Yup, I love having the option to play all of Xbox's biggest exclusives on the PC since I have a gaming PC anyways. Saves me from having to buy an XSX.
