What are your most fond memories playing Nintendo games?

One thing I really loved during my childhood, not specific to Nintendo but mainly Nintendo because that's what I played when I was younger, was printing out walkthroughs and reading them. Loved doing this for Zelda games.

Printing out walkthroughs? We only had vid game/strategy guide mags in my day...now that makes me feel old

Hah, yeah I'm a bit younger, but it seems like even the days of printing out walkthroughs are gone too.

I remember printing out a guide for Twilight Princess, haha. Great times.

Brawl probably was my biggest nerdy gaming moment. I will probably do the same for Smash on Wii U. I stopped playing Brawl a while ago just to get the hype train in full effect.

Ha!

Super Smash Brothers Melee ruined friendships for me!
I was a beast at that game with Marth and Game and Watch. More so Game and Watch and everytime I knocked someone out of the screen I would do his 'bell' taunt.

I made soooo many people angry playing against them. Friends and family alike no one was spared the 'bell' humiliation.

Gamers think games are too hard these days...phfft..
Games today have nothing on the classics in terms of sheer difficulty.
Oh indeed, a game should be pick up and play there shouldn't be some tutorial unless it's a strategy game and even then ;). Same reason I like Mario Kart, just start playing and get your arse kicked online ;).

Or Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. I loved how tough that game is, same with WOnderful 101. There is no reason in reading the manual, things will come clear to you while you play... or you'll fail and have to try again.

Yeah, I think those days are past too. I still remember making my own maps for games like Zelda and Metroid, those were the days...

Melee came out at an awkward age for me. I was still in Elementary School but I took a break from video games for a while. I missed out on most Gamecube stuff. I played Melee but it didn't have the same effect on me as the 64 version and Brawl. I know, Melee is suppose to be the best one, lol.

I remember that Super Nintendo used to have a lot of killer RPG at that time. Especially Chrono Trigger, which was, and is, one of the best RPG game I've played. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was also the best RPG as well. Good time!
