What kind of Smartphone do you currently have?

I don't currently have a smartphone, and have yet to ever own one. I've been very patiently biding my time, as I was never too enthused about doubling my cellphone bill with data plans and such (my bill is very cheap right now), but I believe the time has come for me to bite the bullet. I feel way too left behind now with this s***ty old flip-phone, haha.

I told myself months ago that I would wait until the new iPhone is announced, and dive in then. My initial plan was to see how much improved the new one would be over the 5 -- if it wasn't that much of an improvement, then I'd just get a 5 for much cheaper. However, I think I've decided that I'm going to get the 5s.

I've heard that the 5 has atrocious battery life, and apparently the 5s improves that by 2 hours. That, coupled with the improved processor, camera, and addition of the fingerprint sensor thingy, plus the fact that the 5s isn't even that much more than the 5c, is really convincing me to just go for a 5s. It's not like I'm broke anyways, so what the hell...

Samsung Galaxy S4. Got it ahead of the iPhone 5 mainly for screen size as I use it a lot to browse the forums.

Some teething difficulties but now I really like it. The only issue is the keyboard which somehow doesn't work as smoothly as the iPhone's.

Oh man, this has been 100% confirmed: No love for Sidekick! :( I must be in minor group, haha. iPhone 5S, I need you!

Didn't they make a decision to concentrate on the business sector or something?

Yeah that was their downfall, when they were trying to the business thing while everyone was playing Angry Birds, iPhones were pretty hip and superior.
I think they also went all in for the physical keyboard thinking people were not willing to type on a touchscreen, but they were wrong, and by the time they tried to jump on the touchscreen market they were way behind, even the OS was primitive compared to IOS.

They do have a couple of new models that have been reviewed pretty well, the Q10 and Z10, and pretty soon the A10 meant to compete with the i5, and the high end Androids.

We've got Blackberries (seems a strange plural for a Blackberry phone..) at work and we're expected to use them like a small computer. They're a joke. Or at least, the ones we have are a joke.

The incredibly inexpensive Nokia Lumia 521 WP8. Temporary phone, but I've enjoyed it for the last month. Really nice bang for the buck, probably the best inexpensie smart phone at the moment, but it's definitely a budget phone. First WP I've used. I really like the interface, but man are the apps massively behind both iOS and Android offerings.

using a Lumia 920 also. I love it except I wish MS update it already and make more apps

The GDR2 update started rolling out the other week with the Nokia Amber update. Fixed the 'other storage' issue, added FM radio and Data Sense, among some other stuff. I have it already on Rogers, I think ATT is still one of the last carriers to get it. GDR3 is supposed to be out in a few months, and it should bring notification center, or if not then definitely with WP8.1.

The apps aren't MS's fault, its devs that don't want to make them for the platform. We have 48 or 49 of the top 50 iOS/Android apps, missing official instagram because they wont make an app, although there are 3rd party instagram apps that work. I haven't had any problem finding the apps I need so far, and the marketplace is growing pretty rapidly.

Wife has a iPhone 4S, I have the Galaxy S3. Same issue.. my touchscreen keypad just doesn't seem to operate as well as hers... odd.

I'm still on my older Sammy Galaxy S2.

I use phones for making calls mostly so the upgrade for me is cosmetic these days if anything.

Galaxy S4. It's alright I guess. Only other smart phone I had was an HTC and the battery life on that thing was dreadful.

Lumia 800 which was a stop gap because my HTC crapped out and I wanted a 920 but it hadn't come out at the time.
Funny thing, I'm here in New Zealand for a family reunion - we're all living overseas so turned off data while roaming and no one knows their way around this city so everyone is totally in love with my phone because of the maps and navigation. One brother who already went back to Ireland has been asking me about which Nokia I have and which one he should get and the other brother who has an iPhone 5 keeps saying he should have gotten a Nokia instead. My mum wants one too! I laughed and told them this one is last gen and the new ones are better.

Still using Iphone 3GS. I think almost 4 years already.

HTC one. And Goddamn but it's a bad ass phone. My absolute favourite smartphone so far.

so many WP 8 and Galaxy Phones!
I am stuck, I want a WP8 but my carrier sucks and the LGG2 look like a beast!

I have a 4s, and I don't have any major complaints. I'm really not that excited about the 5s, but that has to do with me being too cheap to upgrade more than it has to do with the quality of the 5s.
