What movies have you seen recently?

DUEL ( 1971 Spielberg )

I had heard good things about this movie. I felt it was something I should check out

So, before Spielberg scared people with a big ass shark, he had a big ass Peterbilt Fuel Hauler endlessly troll and push around a random car out on some desert back roads.

The pacing is off I think because this was originally a made for TV movie. Maybe unsure how to cut it up for commercials. Some part are slow but it was okay.

I found it interesting to reflect on how large trucks can be seen as intimidating to cars which is basically the whole theme of this movie. It was also weirdly entertaining I'll admit in the same way it is when I played GTA5 and grabbed a semitruck.

I also felt this had a touch of MAD MAX to it. Now I'm talking about the original film that is quite different from Fury Road. At least Max was a cop with a suped up Interceptor, this guy is just a saleman in a sh;tty Chrysler being messed by a semitruck.

Yea I watched Duel a few times when I was younger so it's been a while, but it was fun.

Watched The Nun last night and really enjoyed it. Haven't seen any of the Annabelle movies yet but The Conjuring movies are probably my favorite horror films/series right now. I felt like The Nun, which wasn't as good as the main films, was still a good spin-off.

Gemini Man - It was ok.

Joker - Good. Phonix wss great. They need to keep the director and moody atmosphere and use Joker as the basis for the next Batman films.

Mother! (J-law film) - I finally got around to watching this the other day. While it was strange at first it kept me interested on what the hell (literally) it was about. Throughout most of it I was thinking one thing (much darker things at work)... then it hit me I think during the baby scene what the movie was actually about. At that point I found the film clever and been thinking about it since. I enjoyed the movie, it’s definitely not for everyone.

I loved how uncomfortable some scenes made me earlier in the film. Kind of being paranoid of those around you. The cast was good.

Godzilla King of the Monsters 4K

Screw you critics not much wrong with this apart from Godzilla coming off too weak at times.

Looks and sounds great in 4k

While I haven't seen this yet, I don't care what critics say about the first one. It was a total blast especially this hype af scene.

This reminds me, I also need to see the newer Japan one Shin Godzilla.

Saw zombieland 2.... 2.5 outta 4, for fans really. Definitely a rental or wait till it’s out on Blu-ray, on the cheap.

i wasn’t hyped for the movie, I loved the first one. This was a nice follow up and insight to the world, there was some setup to something cool but never followed up on it an was a shame they didn’t explore it. But I’m ok with it.

still fun and funny but a bit watered down, I guess.

Zombieland 2....gets a thumbs down from me.
My favorite part was the monster truck mowing them down. Oh, and BILL FREAKIN MURRAY.
