What movies have you seen recently?

Birds of Prey: Meh

Started out nutty, but it slowly lost steam. There's a big fight sequence at the end that was very poorly directed. The CW TV shows were more action packed. It should have kept up with the insanity from the first act.

Pandorum:
Same director as RE. Good, could've waited a bit longer before showing the creatures and the twist that came was pretty obvious but overall a good sci-fi movie.
I've seen it compared to Event Horizon, I'd say it got a similar vibe at the beginning but EH is a much better movie imo.
Love this movie. I'd probably agree that Event Horizon is better. Wish there could have been a sequel to Pandorum. Not sure they would do though.

Watched the first three Mission Impossibles. I had seen the first one way back after it had come out but never got around to the rest. With how good the new ones are supposed to be I figured might as well get through them. MI1 > MI3 > MI2.

MI2 is definitely the weakest. It does have a few cool action scenes. I watched MI1 recently that movie still holds up well. MI3 is a fun film.

2 is just weird with the John Woo style lol. Like random panning camera slowdowns. I was surprised to see Maeve from Westworld in it. Don't think I had seen her in any other movies/shows from what I could remember so that was a welcome surprise. :hehe:

She was also in The Chronicles of Riddick

Speaking of John Woo what the hell happened to him?
He directed Red Cliff which was good, looking at what he's been directing and producing other than that it seems to be mostly "crouching tiger hidden dragon "- styled movies that I've never heard of.
Guessing he gave up on Hollywood, good for him.

He did Face Off and Hard Target...You seriously never seen those?

I finished Deep Impact on Netflix I vote for Morgan Freeman as my president.

Now I’m watching The Core. Dumb fun disaster flick I hate myself lol.

Disaster movies are quite fun though. What's that one, The Day After Tomorrow or something with Dennis Quaid where the entire world freezes over in like a day due to global warming? Great flick!

Onward on Disney+ I liked it but I do think some people may find it a bit boring.

I think its just hard to walk away. Which is why you need people around him to talk him into doing the right thing. Unfortunately he has surrounded himself with people who didn't vote for the nominee last time and therefore aren't going to be the type to talk him into uniting.
Rewatched Hell or High Water last night. Still slaps so hard
Was one of my favorite films that year. Such a damn good movie.

I saw it. I rated it a 9 on IMDb. How do I not remember much of anything about it?🥺
