What movies have you seen recently?

Unhinged - Good but cheesy. I get road rage, so it was a perfect movie for me.

Caught Ready Player One on TNT the other night, but fell asleep before it was over. I really liked the first half of the movie, but when it got to the club scene it really fell apart for me. I'll probably finish it one of these days, but for what I saw I'd give it 2.5/5 thumbs up
I enjoyed it. As far as video game movies go it is one of the better ones imo.

Click below for my thoughts. Preview isn't my post.

I agree with most of the takes in there. Good popcorn flick, I got to the part where everybody showed up in real life and must have dozed off after that. Only scene I didn't like at all was the club scene, because it was as cornball as you could get.

Greenland-Good, but not enough destruction. It was cool to see my area as the first place wiped out. From the video shown, my house was literally directly hit...

Greenland, IMO, was pretty awesome. Sure, you can rip apart the far fetched story, but I couldn't help but be glued to the end. I hope there is a part 2.

Soul - amazing movie with an incredible soundtrack, pixar at it again, probably not your traditional kiddie pixar movie, wouldn't mind having a couple puffs and watching it again was pretty out there.

Wonder Woman 1984: Better than expected!

Gave me what I wanted: a drop-dead gorgeous Wonder Woman who kicked some butt. Then it gave me something I didn't expect: a plot that was at first confusing, but ended up being pretty clever, along with two villains that were interesting. The ending was anti-climactic, but I guess you can't have it all (wink wink).

Total Recall - 4K UHD Disc - If you still buy 4K bluray, this one is definitely worth the purchase. It's been on sale via Amazon at around $13 for several weeks now. Fantastic 4K image quality, HDR, and detail. Additionally, the new Dolby Atmos sound mix is excellent. The set surprisingly contains a huge number of special features, including multiple feature length documentaries. Impressive to see great total package bluray sets like this for such great prices in 2020.

The Curse of Frankenstein - Bluray - Brand new blu-ray set from Warner Archive, got this from my parents for Christmas. 3 new remastered aspect ratio prints of the movie (relating to the aspect ratios of the countries they were originally released in), and a full disc of excellent brand new features about the movie and Hammer films. If you enjoy classic horror / monster movies, this is the one that started it all for Hammer. Great to see it get such an excellent set full of entertaining and informative special features and options.

Possessor - Interesting, crazily violent sci-fi movie directed by David Cronenberg's son. Some great cinematography and interesting plot ideas, but overall I was expecting a bit more from it. It's showing up all over tons of best of 2020 lists though, many others seem to like it considerably more than I did. Worth a watch.

Dave Made A Maze:

Decent indy movie on Prime. Lot's of creativity with elaborate set design that has and excuse to be low budget cardboard.

Basically, Dave in the story is creatively stifled and one weekend starts a creative project that turns into a literal Labirynth in his apartment ( it's bigger on the inside ) including a Minotaur. The explainations for this are vague which is mostly okay except..........

Minor Spoiler: some people don't make it out of the maze at the end and it's not quite clear what their fate is so this bugs me a little bit.
