What movies have you seen recently?

Watched the Coming to America sequel and it was... fine. Entertaining with some good laughs.

I'd recommend re-watching the original if you haven't seen it in a long time, as there's obviously quite a few references back, although it isn't necessary. The original is on Amazon too.

Watched Greenland last night. It was okay, not bad but didn't give me the same enjoyment as other apocalyptic classics like Deep Impact or Armageddon.

Escape room (2019), enjoyed it for what it is. Sequel coming!

Justice League, probably Synders best DC movie, not amazing but very good. Its amazing how much of the s***ty stuff from original JL was from Whedon! that one was like 1/10

Mr. and Mrs. Smith is on TV in the breakroom at work.

This is kind of stupid but the action scenes are so well done. Probably because the director is Doug Liman who is so good at fight scenes and gun play. He did the first Bourne Identity.

Saw Kung Pow for the first time in ages. Still a really fun parody of dubbed over martial arts films. The wiiu girl is still my favorite.
First thing I ever bought off of Amazon in the 2000s. Still have it too. Watch it, digitally, once or twice a year.

Heard the new Coming To America is s***, they got the old one in 4K on Prime about to watch!
I thought it was okay. I absolutely have no idea why they went for a PG-13 rating. Eddie's previous movie, Dolemite, is better.

1917 - 🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀/10

Godzilla vs Kong - 8/10

I can't help but imagine the tens of thousands of people that are killed every time these monsters come ashore.

The Empty Man - Surprisingly solid major studio horror movie that released last year and is just now starting to get some following. I liked the first half far more than the second, but it's still very worth watching if you're a horror fan. Solid cinematography, solid score, solid cast, and an awesome prologue sequence that might be worth the price of a rental in and of itself.
