What movies have you seen recently?

You going to see Kills in the theater or on Peacock? I'm still trying to decide.
Theater I think. As a backstory I haven't enjoyed the theater experience in probably 10 years. I just get too distracted by noisy people, so outside of going to a few war movies with my dad, I never bothered. However, I just moved to a small city that re-did their theater and it's super nice. Plus with how low movie attendance is now, I figure if I go midweek either the week after or two weeks after it releases, it should be easy going like it was for Malignant.

I'm in the same boat. i like seeing things in the theater, but can't stand how annoying and inconsiderate most people there are, so I typically prefer watching things at home. That said, I could see it Thursday night if I watch in the theater, but it looks like I'd have to wait until Friday morning if I wanted to watch on Peacock. I'd like to support the movie's ticket sales, but I also don't want my fist experience with the film to be ruined by annoying people. Decisions, decisions.

its not really a retcon. If you go back and watch that episode you can tell something doesn't add up especially with the way the cop doesn't seem to know what Christopher is talking about. Plus the cop could have been the one Junior used. It was just Tony manipulating Christopher to gain his loyalty
I guess that's true, but I still am not a fan of the way they just kind of got there at the end. The build was seriously lacking in my opinion.

I think a lot of folk are in that boat. Only time I go to cinema now is if an old school friend can get me into a private showing.

Definitely watching this on the 'c*** this weekend. Hoping there's no commercials for the five dollar version lol

Venom: Let There Be Carnage - Average to meh

Never saw the first one, but Venom is annoying as is him and Eddie talking to themselves. The only thing good about the movie was Woody. My son and I were the only ones in the theater.

Just watched Misery again for like the 30th time, it's one of my favorite movies of all time. The funny thing is when that hobbling scene comes on I still grab my leg and have every time I've watched it including opening night in 1990. I remember that night like it was yesterday, everyone walking out of the theater telling their friends "I'm your number one fan" lol but yeah when that hobbling scene came on everyone in the theater grabbed their legs too lol. That was a fun time, Home Alone came out a couple of weeks before and we saw that opening night too.

I hate to say it but it seems like a lot of things that used to be fun or at least enjoyable are ruined now a days, I don't know if it's just being older now or people being bigger dicks than they used to be or a bit of both but most things I used to enjoy going out and doing just aren't fun anymore.

Movie theaters are still pretty dead when I go. The difference now is that I don't have to really schedule around the more busy times. I can go in the afternoon on the weekend and it won't be too packed. While Mass was a niche film, it was just me and another person in the theater. At No Time to Die it was just me.

Local theater was the busiest I've seen in a while. Probably helped having two big movies release on the same day, but was nice to see either way. Hope to catch Halloween Kills and The Last Duel either later this week or next week. After work matinee should mean low turnout.

Watched Hellraiser 2 last night. This movie was really odd compared to the first one. Wasn't really sure what was going on half the time lol.

The last 4 times I went were dead. 2 of the times it was either just me and my wife/son, and the other two times, there was another couple. No idea how they keep the doors open. I actually feel bad. Oh well.

What's going to happen is me enjoying going to movies again after moving to this small city with a newly renovated theater, getting off work early enough to catch a movie by 4:30 or 5 and avoiding morons, only for the place to go under. I don't remember what all came out over the summer, but looking at this month to the end of the year there are like 5 or 6 movies I'd watch.

Battle Royale - ??

Among all the Squid Game craze, this movie kept popping up as a reference. It's a popular Japanese movie that came out in 2000 about a group of high school students forced to kill each other on a remote island. Not really sure how I felt overall after watching it. I kind of want to trash it but Japanese movies are typically pretty low budget and it definitely shows. It did make me feel kind of depressed though for obvious reasons if you watch it.

The dubbed version is free to watch on Amazon Prime Video and the subtitled version is free to watch on Vudu.

Dune. Enjoyed it for what it was. Had no knowledge of the franchise besides the worms, but I liked the premise and thought the lore was cool.

DV doin big things again, and the movie was beautiful. Probably should have seen it in theaters, but can't beat not leaving the apt lol

Looking forward to watching it will probably just watch it at home soon on HBOMax. We’ve been busy every weekend lately so I haven’t been able to make it to a theater not even for 007 was hyped for that one.
