What movies have you seen recently?

I went into with high expectations from friends and family bragging about it all my life. I just never got around to watching it. Needless to say, I was let down. Not as let down as I was watching the OG Ghostbusters.

I am a massive Chevy fan, and he wasn't that great in this one. Bill Murray wasn't great either. I did find that Ted Knight and Rodney Dangerfield were excellent though.

I think you have to be of a certain age and when this movie came out. There are comedies that have come out where I'm just not the target audience, yet it's highly recieved by much younger people.

Now I do get watching way older films as an adult. Some things are just much better from the 80’s/90’s when you grew up on them than watching them for the first time in recent years. I’ve been trying to catch up on old films I’ve never seen, it’s nice when you find one that holds up still today and you enjoy it.

Honestly I think some comedies age well because you just don’t get comedies like that anymore.

Okay, so I watched Creed iii at the cinema.

I think Jordon B did well as a debut director. The blackout arena in the end is a bit goofy though, but its a nitpick.
He train hard for that body, so did Majors. kudos to them.
As far as story, Its fairly predicable. i think there should be more screen time for the antagonist to show his side of the story. Most perspective were from Creed. point of view

Its interesting how they handled Viktor. I think they may want idea of a standalone film with him. Notice when they spar, they never show who beat who.

I say its better than the first, but not as good as the 2nd. Antagonist need more screen time, & give us a way to sympathise for him. Missed oppounity.

A Man Called Otto - Good

I read the book like 6 years ago, and I watched the original movie subtitled, A Man Call Ove. The movies follow the book very close.

Outlaw King
Creed 3
The King

All were nicely shot and acted, but over-reliant on predictable and formulaic drama, and not nearly enough attention went into the action sequences. Don't see myself rewatching any of them.

Came across the Jack Nicholson film As Good As It Gets with Helen Hunt for sale on Vudu for cheap. This is such a great movie I love it. Never know if I should laugh, feel emotional in parts, or think Jack is an a hole throughout this… film holds up well.

Love that movie. It makes me want to be a better man.

Caught Ant-Man last night. I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Sure I rolled my eyes more than a few times, but really enjoyed the highs.

Kang was great, and I'm very interested in what's coming with him for future roles. Especially Loki Season 2.

Creed III - Good

Jordan got creative with it. I liked it. Felt rushed though. Should have been a half hour longer to flesh it out a bit more.

You know where part four is headed. Did a nice job of setting the story for that.

LOVED the ASL integration. Something I’ve always wanted to learn and become fluent.

Scream VI - Full of dumb characters. The killers were easy to figure out too.

Side note: Hayden Panetitere looks like a fem robot when she talks.
